WASHINGTON, DC: First Lady Melania Trump appears to be getting a head start on holiday festivities — and this year’s White House Christmas could be her most dazzling yet.

On Wednesday, October 2, Melania shared a short, five-second Instagram video that sent followers into a festive frenzy. The clip showed the wife of President Donald Trump delicately placing a gold-toned ornament painted with white flowers amid shimmering gold foliage.

Her elegant touch was unmistakable — from her pale pink manicure to the emerald-cut diamond wedding band glinting under the lights. Revisiting Melania Trump’s iconic and controversial Christmas past

Melania, 55, has long been known for her bold, unconventional approach to White House holiday décor.

During her husband’s first term, she led several elaborate Christmas transformations at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue — each more visually striking than the last.

Her artistic choices, though, often sparked debate. In 2018, she famously lined the East Colonnade with rows of unadorned crimson Christmas trees as part of her “American Treasures” theme, a design that drew both fascination and mockery.

Social media users compared the dramatic hallway to eerie movie scenes from “The Shining” and “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

But Melania brushed off criticism. “We are in the 21st century and everybody has a different taste,” she said during a Liberty University panel in November 2018. “I think they look fantastic.”

She warmly invited the public to experience her work firsthand, adding, “I hope everybody will come over and visit. In real life, they look even more beautiful. You are all welcome to visit the White House, the people’s house.”

A White House Christmas in gold?

While Melania has yet to reveal this year’s official holiday theme, the gold accents in her teaser suggest a return to her opulent aesthetic — one that blends grandeur with precision.

If online buzz is any indication, fans are anticipating a Christmas filled with golden tones, white florals, and Melania’s signature mix of modern luxury and classic style.

Whether or not the “Golden Christmas” predictions prove true, one thing is certain: Melania Trump knows exactly how to make the holidays sparkle.
