The singer arrived in a silver, astronaut-style mask, completely hiding her face, making her nearly unrecognizable as she walked the red carpet.

Ahead of the event, Perry had teased her look on social media, asking, “Should I go to #TheMet?” and posting a TikTok of her gloved hand set to her track 'The One That Got Away', as per People. 

The space-inspired mask was linked to the Blue Origin NS-31 mission, when Perry flew to the edge of space on April 14, 2025, as part of an all-female crew. The glove detail, including a six-finger design, was also seen as her way of playfully mocking the AI-generated images of her that circulated back in 2025.
