Michael B. Jordan and Raye's relationship revealed as strictly business amid dating rumors

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Michael B. Jordan and Raye have sparked romance rumors after spending time together at Six Flags Magic Mountain outside Los Angeles on Friday, August 7, but the latest reports have revealed that their connection is strictly professional.

The outing was reportedly connected to a new movie project Jordan is involved with, with Raye working on its soundtrack. This clarified the conflicting reports about their relationship, with one source describing them as “just friends” while another claims that “things are new between them.”

The 'Sinners' star and British singer are reportedly just friends, according to a source who spoke to Page Six. Raye was spending time with Jordan because she is working on the soundtrack for a movie project he is involved with.

TMZ was first to report the collaboration, although the feature film she is contributing to has not been identified. The pair fueled speculation after they were spotted at Six Flags Magic Mountain, with a viral TikTok showing them chatting and laughing while waiting for a rollercoaster ride and another photo capturing them sitting next to each other before another ride took off.

In a video shared on TikTok, she excitedly raised her hands after someone off-camera told the riders to keep their hands up and not close their eyes, before nudging Jordan to do the same.

One source told PEOPLE that the duo had previously been spending time together and “really like each other.” The source described their relationship as new, adding that she tells friends Jordan is her type and that he is “warm and kind.”

Another source, however, maintained that they are “just friends” and had attended Six Flags with a group of people. Jordan has several projects in the works that could potentially connect him to Raye's soundtrack work, including a remake of 'The Thomas Crown Affair,' 'Rainbow Six' and 'Miami Vice ’85,' which is set to co-star Austin Butler.

His production company, Outlier Society, is also working on multiple projects.

Jordan has not been officially linked to anyone since his 2022 breakup with Lori Harvey, although he has been spotted with several women. He was also linked to Taylor Russell in 2025 after a fling with 'Selling Sunset' star Bre Tiesi in 2023. 

He also previously confirmed that he spent time on the exclusive dating app Raya following his split from Harvey. Raye, meanwhile, has been linked to Drake and Lewis Hamilton in the past but has never confirmed a public relationship.

In November, she opened up to PEOPLE about the qualities she wants in a husband, revealing that “words of affirmation” is her love language and that communication is particularly important to her.

Jordan previously discussed the challenges of dating in the public eye, revealing in a 2018 GQ interview that internet speculation can make it difficult to get to know someone normally. In a February 2025 interview, he again avoided discussing his romantic life, describing it as the subject he was “least excited to offer any comment on.”

He explained that he is focused on work and would want someone to fit into the flow of his life, adding that a person can be right while the timing is wrong.
