LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris Jackson has opened up about her first meeting with her mother, Debbie Rowe, when she was 15.

The model, 28, was raised by her father and grandmother, Katherine Jackson, after Debbie and Michael divorced in 2000, with the "King of Pop" taking full custody of Paris and her brother Prince, now 29.

Paris Jackson says she and her mother are 'very similar'

During her appearance on the Wednesday, August 12, episode of the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast, Paris shared, “I remember coming downstairs, and she was in the living room with my grandma. I came in, and I was just like, 'Hey, mom.’”

Her mother gave her the same response as the two “talked for a second and then we went out for the day and just, like, hung out.”

Regarding their connection, Paris told host Alex Cooper, “She’s a [Sagittarius], so she’s got the fire. And I’m an Aries, so I’ve got the fire. We’re very similar.”

Paris Jackson believes expectations ruin relationships

The ‘One Spoon of Chocolate’ actress also explained why she did not keep any expectations while meeting her mother.

Paris said, “If I walk into a relationship with expectations, [I'm] probably going to end up being maybe disappointed or frustrated or irritated or a resentment will be born or something, you know.”

“And when I walk into something, and I don't have expectations, it creates this really cool space for something organic to just blossom,” the 28-year-old added.

Paris Jackson called her mom Debbie Rowe 'her friend'

However, this was not the first time the ‘Swarm’ actress opened up about Debbie, who was married to Michael from 1996 to 2000.

“It's cool. Getting to know her, seeing how similar we are, getting into what kind of music she likes—and she really likes country and folk,” she said during her 2021 appearance on 'Red Table Talk'.

“We look a lot alike. It's just cool having her as a friend. It's very chill, which I love. It's the perfect word to describe it,” Paris had added.

Paris Jackson did not understand how famous her dad was

Meanwhile, during the recent ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast appearance, Paris also talked about her legendary father, who died in 2009 at the age of 50.

She told Cooper, “I knew he was famous. I just didn’t know how famous.”

“There was definitely part of me that, like, when I looked out my hotel window — and it was one of the times where, like, the alias didn’t work — and there’s just a sea of people with signs and stuff. I’m not so naive to think, ‘Yeah, everyone experiences this.’ I just didn’t understand the lengths,” Paris explained.
