LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Paris Jackson marked a monumental achievement, five years of being clean and sober on Tuesday, January 7.

The 26-year-old singer-songwriter and daughter of the late Michael Jackson took to social media to celebrate this significant milestone.

The video included snippets of her past, showing her consuming alcohol, before transitioning to recent footage of her vibrant, sober life.

Highlights featured Jackson performing on stage, engaging in adventurous activities, and enjoying tender moments with her fiance Justin Long, and her beloved pets.

In her post, Paris wrote, “Hi, I’m pk and I’m an alcoholic and a heroin addict. Today marks 5 years clean & sober from all drugs and alcohol."

"To say that I'm thankful would be a poor euphemism. Gratitude hardly scratches the surface,” she added.

She expressed her appreciation for life’s simple yet profound moments, such as feeling the warmth of the sun and cherishing her pets.

Jackson’s openness about her struggles, including battling heroin addiction reflects on the challenges she had to face on the road to recovery.

“I feel the sun on my skin and it’s warm. I’ve found that life keeps happening regardless of whether I’m sober or not, but today I get to show up for it,” she shared.

“Here’s a little snapshot of what has been possible because of my sobriety, and my god I can’t believe I almost missed it all,” she added.

Ending her video with a heartfelt message, Paris Jackson acknowledged those who have supported her throughout her journey.

“I get to make music. I get to experience the joy of loving my dogs and cat. I get to feel heartbreak in all it’s glory,” she shared.

“To those that helped me on this journey, if only for just the beginning, middle, or the whole time so far, you know who you are. Thank you. 5 years. THANK GOD,” Jackson wrote.
