LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Former Republican National Committee chair Michael Steele, guest hosting MSNBC’s 'ReidOut,' dissected Donald Trump’s recent rally at Racine, Wisconsin, which he called “particularly unhinged". He also scrutinized some of the rally’s most bizarre and dishonest claims.

“What on earth is wrong with the Republican Party?” Steele questioned, reflecting on the rally where Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, delivered a 90-minute diatribe filled with an alleged mix of falsehoods and incoherent ramblings.

Michael Steele slams Donald Trump’s rally rant

“The sad state of what was once the Grand Old Party was on full display yesterday when the convicted felon-slash-Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump, held a particularly unhinged rally, where he spent 90 minutes, folks, spewing a combination of lies, vitriol and rambling word salad,” Steele remarked.

During the rally in Racine, Wisconsin, Trump proudly referred to his criminal indictments as a “great badge of honor” and falsely asserted he had more indictments than Al Capone. He also veered into tangents about sharks, falsely claimed victory in Wisconsin in 2020, and insisted that four years ago, “our border was secure, inflation was nowhere to be seen, the world was at peace.”

Steele fact-checked these statements swiftly, clarifying that the "world was not at peace four years ago", "Trump did not win Wisconsin or the election in 2020", and “he has not been indicted more times than Al Capone".

Michael Steele slams MAGA supporters

“What’s even more embarrassing than Trump’s deranged rant,” Steele continued, “is the pathetic attempts by his MAGA supporters to defend him, creating alternate realities where Trump is actually George Washington and Joe Biden is the convicted felon.”

Steele played a clip of Vivek Ramaswamy, a staunch Trump supporter and former Republican presidential contender, who even likened Trump to “the George Washington of our moment” during the rally.

Meanwhile, in another clip shown, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) asserted “the felon in this election is Joe Biden".
