WASHINGTON, DC: In a striking show of support, former Vice President Mike Pence has praised President Donald Trump for his bold and strategic actions against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Speaking with Fox News on June 22, Pence applauded the recent US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites as a demonstration of military bravery and decisive leadership, hallmarks, he noted, of Trump’s earlier policies.

Despite withholding his endorsement for Trump in the 2024 race, Pence expressed pride in the mission’s execution. Notably, even Jamie Metzl, a former Biden staffer and supporter of Kamala Harris, acknowledged Trump’s boldness, saying Harris herself might have taken such a decisive step.

On 'The Story', Fox News host Martha MacCallum reviewed Mike Pence’s previous stance on Donald Trump before questioning his recent show of support for his airstrikes on Iran.

She referenced the 2024 "pre-election period", noting that Pence had appeared on her show multiple times during that time.

To highlight the contrast, she played a clip from a March 2024 interview in which Pence said, “Trump is pursuing and articulating an agenda that is at odds with the conservative agenda we governed on during our four years, and that’s why I cannot in good conscience endorse Donald Trump.”

Pence described the mission as a continuation of the Trump administration’s tough stance on Iran, echoing policies from Trump’s first term.

In a segment shared by Fox News titled “Mike Pence Commends Trump for Strikes on Iran’s Nuclear Sites,” Pence highlighted the bravery and professionalism of the US military, calling their execution of the mission “historic.”

He emphasized that Trump’s demand for Iran to dismantle its uranium enrichment program demonstrated the kind of bold leadership the American people expect.

“I couldn’t be more proud of President Trump’s decisive leadership in this moment or the extraordinary professionalism and courage of our armed forces that brought about this historic mission,” Pence said.

He also pointed to Israel’s coordinated strikes and US defensive support as evidence of the enduring alliance between the two nations, framing the operation as a strategic opportunity to reshape the Middle East and limit Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Pence credited both Trump’s national security team and the military for their careful planning and execution. Reflecting on the early bomb damage assessments, he suggested the strike could mark a turning point for peace and stability in the region.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Pence reinforced his support for Trump’s actions, writing, "President Trump Made the Right Call to deploy American Forces to strike nuclear sites in Iran and he should be commended for his decisive leadership."

He continued, "Iran could never be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon. Thanks to the resolve of our Commander in Chief and the courage and professionalism of our Armed Forces, America, Israel and the Free World are safer as a result. "

Pence issued a firm message to Tehran, "Iran should now stand down and abandon any thought of retaliation against Americans or be prepared to face the consequences."

He concluded his post with a strong endorsement of Trump’s global leadership, "Tonight President @realDonaldTrump proved again that the United States of America is the Leader of the Free World and America Stands with Israel. Thank You Mr. President and God Bless Our Troops."

A user questioned, "Why is he popping up now to give kudos when he couldn’t endorse President Trump less than a year ago?" A user praised Trump, "Hello from Indonesia. Thank you President Donald Trump for defending the free world. God bless America."
