Two months later, during the second night of her Hollywood Bowl residency on Sunday, October 18, Cyrus told the crowd, “I actually have a Dolly mannequin in my bedroom."
Cyrus continued, "She gave it to me for Christmas, and it’s dressed like her, it’s built like her, and when I was by myself, I actually took my phone, and I played ‘Jolene’ for her on video , Just holding it up to the mannequin and lit a candle," according to Page Six.

“I put a flower down for her, and I said, ‘Dolly, if you’re here right now, flicker the lights. And I didn’t say anything out loud, but the entire hallway started flickering,” the Grammy-winning singer told the thousands of people watching her perform.
Cyrus also said that her fiance, Maxx Morando, who was present at the show, witnessed the lights flickering.
However, the 27-year-old did not know what the 33-year-old singer had said to the late country music legend.

“But I know [Dolly’s] here with me tonight, and I’m feeling some of the feelings that I’m most afraid of, but having her here with me is getting me through, and having you here with me is getting me through,” the ‘Party in the USA’ hitmaker shared.
Before beginning her rendition of ‘Jolene’, Cyrus added, “So no matter what it takes, this show is for you. And for Dolly.”
Elsewhere during the performance, the actress told the audience that even death could not separate them.

She asserted, “She’s right here beside me every day. All the time, more than she could be when she was here. I feel her more now than ever. Nothing in this life could ever tear us apart."
Miley Cyrus shares final conversations with Dolly Parton
This came after Cyrus shared an emotional statement mourning Parton's death.
She penned, “The feeling of losing my Aunt Dolly is beyond what feels right to share. Our most sacred moments were private and they’ll stay there behind the stage, beneath the glamour & between our hearts.”
“What I KNOW is Dolly would want me to feel it, write a song about it, and then continue on and be strong. I have an angel by my side. I always have. One of our last conversations was about music and metamorphosis,” the ‘Wrecking Ball’ hitmaker stated.
