Miley Cyrus rushes out with Postmates after cops interrupt Halsey’s house party: ‘Got to go, girl!’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFRONIA: Singer-songwriter Halsey recently shared a chaotic and humorous memory involving singer Miley Cyrus during an appearance on the podcast 'Friends Keep Secrets' aired on Tuesday, May 26.
Halsey recalled a house party that escalated when police officers arrived at her property, leading to a tense exchange outside her home. The singer also reflected on her personality at parties and spoke candidly about the pressures surrounding her music career and commercial expectations.
“Halsey talks about throwing a party after the iHeartRadio Music Awards and having Charlie Puth, Miley Cyrus, Charli XCX and police involved,” a fan account wrote while sharing a clip from the interview on X.

Halsey recalls police confrontation as Miley Cyrus rushed out of the party
During the podcast, Halsey explained that police officers arrived at her home during one of her parties and asked to speak to the owner. Since she had recently purchased the property, she went outside to handle the situation herself.
Recalling the confrontation, Halsey said the officers told her, “We’re gonna shut this down,” to which she responded, “Why? What law am I breaking?” The singer described becoming unexpectedly confident while defending the gathering.
Halsey explained that she argued the event was complying with regulations, saying, "I don't know what happened to me. I switched on, I was like, 'We're operating within the legal sound limit. We're not exceeding fire code. There's no cars parked on the street. And I haven't exceeded the amount of people that I can have in the premises."
According to Halsey, the officers eventually replied, “You’re violating the law of common sense,” prompting her to answer, “That’s not a law,” before she walked away. Moments later, she noticed Cyrus leaving the party in a hurry.
She recalled seeing Cyrus carrying a bag of food while making her exit. Recounting the moment, Halsey said she told her, “Got to go, girl,” before quickly leaving the house with her Postmates order.
Miley Cyrus story leads Halsey to discuss her 'Gatsby' behavior and career pressures
Elsewhere in the interview, Halsey compared herself to Gatsby from 'The Great Gatsby,' explaining that despite hosting large parties, she often avoided socializing with guests directly.
Describing her behavior, she admitted, “I’m Gatsby. I throw these giant parties and then I sit in my room the whole time.” She added that once everyone left, she would feel relieved, saying, “Then everyone goes home and I’m like, ‘Okay, I socialized enough that people still like me.’”
Halsey released her most recent studio album, 'The Great Impersonator,' in 2024. However, during a September 2025 interview with Apple Music One’s Zane Lowe, the singer revealed that she “can’t make an album right now” because she is “not allowed to."
Speaking about the album during the interview, Halsey said that 'The Great Impersonator', "didn't perform the way they wanted it to. If I'm being honest with you, the album sold 100,000 copies first week, That's a pretty big first week, especially for an artist who hasn't had a hit in a long time.”
Despite the strong opening numbers, she claimed that her label still expected “Manic numbers from me,” referring to her 2020 album 'Manic,' which featured her hit song 'Without Me.'
