Mormon Wives’ star Zac Affleck addresses split after pregnant wife Jen files for divorce
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ star Zac Affleck has broken his silence after it was revealed that his wife, Jen Affleck, filed for divorce.
The pair got married in 2019 and are already parents to three children while expecting their fourth. Their firstborn, a daughter, Nora, was born in November 2021; son Luca was born in July 2023, and daughter Penelope in July 2025.
Jen disclosed her fourth pregnancy in June this year.
The reality star reportedly submitted documents to dissolve their marriage on November 3 in the Fourth Judicial District Court in Provo, Utah. She also filed papers framing a proposed parenting plan. Now, two days later on November 5, Zac told PEOPLE that he will “always be Jen’s supporter.”
“Hope she is happy in this next phase of life. Just focusing on my kids and figuring out what’s next for me,” he added.
The publication citing an insider reported that Zac was “doing okay” after Jen’s legal move. They also noted that the two “are staying focused on preparing for the baby and supporting their kids.”
Though Jen and Zac’s split news came seven years after their marriage, they have been struggling in their relationship for some time.
Two years ago, the social media influencer had shared, “If we continue in our relationship, there are changes that need to be made. If they’re not made, we might have to … look at other options. But as of right now, I do think he’s trying his best to make those changes.”
Then a year later, she added, “We’re learning so much on the way, so only taking the positives right now. Right now I’m focusing on my mental health, my marriage and becoming the best version of myself that I can be.”
In another interview, Jen reportedly talked about not having control in their relationship.
“At the end of the day, I want to feel like I have agency in our marriage and that you don’t control me and that I can make this decision. Having this conversation is making me realize I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to go after what I actually want. It’s making me really question what our relationship will look like in the future,” she explained.
