'Morning Joke': Internet mocks Joe Scarborough for voicing concerns over Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: MSNBC anchor Joe Scarborough opened up about his concerns regarding Israel and its current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday, March 22 episode of 'Morning Joe.'

His comments were uploaded by the show on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), where netizens slammed him over his stance.

Joe Scarborough's concerns for Israel

Speaking to his panel on the show, Scarborough stated, "I have been fighting antisemitism my entire adult life, and my entire career in Congress and on television. And I have been really outspoken about it. And I am really concerned."

"I am concerned about this, I am concerned about Benjamin Netanyahu, I am concerned about the fact that he knew where Hamas was getting its money in 2018 (and) refused to cut it off. I am concerned that he sent his Government to Doha three weeks before the attack and said, 'Give Hamas more money.' I am concerned he continued to prop Hamas up."

"I am concerned Benjamin Netanyahu's government had Hamas' terrorist plan a year before the attacks and they did nothing. I am concerned that Benjamin Netanyahu after the attacks did nothing for ... ten hours. They were ill-prepared. I have never seen like it," he continued.

"It shattered my belief in anything I ever thought about Israel's ability to defend itself. And by the way, it's not that we have been wrong all these years, it's that Benjamin Netanyahu was in charge and he led Israel to that point."

Scarborough was also worried about the Israeli Prime Minister trying to hold on to his position at any cost, "because the second he is out of power, he has got three indictments. He might go to jail."

"So it's a very simple equation. As long as the war continues, Benjamin Netanyahu does not have to worry about going to jail," he claimed, later asking, "Are we really going to tie Israel's future up to this man, and say those of us who love Israel are not allowed to question Benjamin Netanyahu's motives?"
