MARYLAND: Tammy Nobles, a grieving mother from Maryland, is urgently calling on President Joe Biden to take immediate action after the tragic murders of her daughter and another young woman, reportedly committed by illegal immigrants.

Nobles, whose 20-year-old daughter Kayla Hamilton was raped and murdered in 2022, has pointedly criticized the federal government's border policies, holding them responsible for the devastating loss of life.

Grieving mother blames lax border enforcement for tragic losses

In an emotional interview, Nobles lamented the failures of Homeland Security and other governmental agencies, asserting that lax border enforcement has facilitated these unthinkable tragedies.

“It is occurring because Homeland Security and Health and Human Services are not doing their jobs and other agencies in power like the police and government aren’t doing anything to prevent this,” Nobles stated.

“And Biden sure isn’t trying to prevent these types of crimes from happening. He is the one that is welcoming the illegal immigrants here. Government agencies, federal and local, need to take responsibility and put American citizens first and not last. Our safety is not being put first,” reported the New York Post.

Who was Rachel Morin?

The recent arrest of Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez, a 23-year-old Salvadoran accused of raping and murdering Rachel Morin, a 37-year-old mother of five, on August 5, 2023, when she was on a hiking trail in Bel Air, Maryland. The tragedy has further ignited public outrage over border security.

Martinez-Hernandez, who entered the US illegally, faces serious charges related to Morin's death. Nobles highlighted that this horrific crime occurred just a year after her own daughter's alleged murder by a 17-year-old MS-13 gang member, also from El Salvador.

The teenager, who was arrested in January 2023 and charged with first-degree murder, was reportedly living in the same home as the victim, subletting from another undocumented migrant.

“I am incredibly saddened that something like this has occurred again. I understand what Rachel’s mom and family are going through and the nightmare that they have to endure every day,” said Nobles of Morin’s tragic murder.

Authorities indicated that before the murder of Morin, the suspect was wanted for a previous homicide in El Salvador and had subsequently assaulted a mother and young girl in Los Angeles.

Expressing solidarity with Morin's family, Nobles emphasized the ongoing nightmare of losing a loved one to such senseless violence. She has initiated legal action against the federal government, seeking $100 million in damages for what she perceives as its negligence in screening her daughter's alleged murderer.

“My message to Biden would be close the border and start vetting and background checking every illegal immigrant and start processing the ones that came here the legal way,” Nobles stated. “We can’t keep letting everyone in without properly vetting and background checking them.”

The grieving mother expressed that her advocacy on behalf of her deceased daughter and other victims aims to “try to prevent tragedies like Kayla’s and Rachel’s.”

Outrage erupts on social media over border policy impacts

In the wake of tragic incidents involving alleged crimes committed by undocumented migrants, netizens have engaged in heated debates and made impassioned calls for action.

A social media user tweeted, "Biden is directly responsible for the r@pes, mvrders, drug deaths, assaults, car jacking, robberies, and economic devastation he HIMSELF caused by reversing ALL of President Trump's border security. Biden belongs in prison. Period." [sic]

Another added, "It’s gonna get worse before it gets worse."

A user claimed, "Imagine being a democrat who voted for this administration?! Rachel’s blood is literally dripping from your hands. So very sad." [sic]

"Allegedly? Pretty clearly guilty," read a tweet.

"Prayers going out to the Morin Family, Closed the border Completely," penned an individual.
