WASHINGTON, DC: Marjorie Taylor Greene, former congresswoman and Trump ally, concluded her vacation with with Rep Thomas Massie with a head-turning post on Charlie Kirk’s assassination and why she resigned from her post.

Greene accused a vague “they” of being behind the September 2025 murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, further fueling conspiracy theories surrounding his death.

Thomas Massie recently faced a crushing defeat in the GOP’s Senate primary run in Kentucky's 4th Congressional District after Trump urged voters to show him the door.

Greene fans flames of conspiracy about Charlie Kirk's death

She continued her tirade and hinted that Charlie Kirk was a victim of a conspiracy against him.

“What they just did to Thomas Massie is unforgivable. I saw it all coming early, had just watched my friend Charlie Kirk assassinated, and knew they were going to do all of it and probably worse to me too,” Greene said. “So I refused to allow it to happen to me, my family, and my district, so I resigned.”

Those closest to Kirk, including his widow, Erika Kirk, have urged public figures to stop promoting conspiracy theories about his assassination.

Some right-wing influencers have nonetheless speculated online about Israel’s possible involvement in the killing, despite Charlie Kirk having long been publicly supportive of the country.

Greene says the Republican Party faces a civil war

Marjorie Taylor Greene also made several posts on the rapidly evolving dynamics in the GOP and accused the Republican establishment of trying to destroy them. She said that a “civil war” was going on within the Republican Party.

“We just said goodbye to our good friends Thomas and Carolyn Massie. The civil war in the Republican Party is successfully gutting the true America Firsters, like myself, Thomas and others. But I don’t think most Americans realize the extent of what’s happening, how bad it is, and what it’s going to produce,” Greene wrote.

She further said that while she and Thomas chose different paths, their stories deliver one message: “To never go against the president even on issues he himself promised to do.”

She also accused Trump's Republican allies of rejecting the 'American First' agenda.

“Republicans and Trump have overwhelmingly rejected America First and will do anything possible to cut the head off of anyone who tries to fly its banner,” she added.
