Muse frontman Matt Bellamy seemingly hard launches romance with AnneMarie Morin amid divorce
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: Muse frontman Matt Bellamy seemingly confirmed his new romance with influencer AnneMarie Morin nearly two months after filing for divorce from his estranged wife, Elle Evans.
The musician took to Instagram to share a PDA-filled photo with Morin, cementing rumors of a potential romance. The latest post comes after Morin appeared to soft-launch their relationship on her own Instagram account earlier this month by sharing a photo of a mystery man placing his hand on her thigh.
Matt Bellamy shares a kiss with his new beau
On Friday, October 16, Bellamy shared a carousel post on Instagram, featuring several photos of himself working at the Chicago-based bakery Cloud Cookie, founded by Morin. While most of the photos captured his time working at the bakery, the image that stood out showed Bellamy sharing a kiss with Morin while posing for a mirror selfie.
“New part-time job,” Bellamy, 48, wrote on Instagram, adding, “Boss is a tough cookie.” Morin, 34, also reshared the image on her Instagram stories. However, the Muse frontman and the Cloud Cookie founder have not shared any official statement about their relationship status so far.
Matt Bellamy filed for divorce from Elle Evans after 6 years together
According to US Weekly, Bellamy filed for divorce from Evans, 36, in August, after nearly six years of marriage. Court documents revealed that the musician cited “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for their separation.
While Bellamy requested sole custody of their children, Lovella, 6, and George, 2, Evans told TMZ at the time that she was planning to fight for custody. She also said that the divorce was “a long time coming.”
Bellamy first opened up about the split during a June interview with The I Paper. “It’s one of those situations that involves something that people wouldn’t normally think it is,” he said at the time.

“It was a set of really unexpected circumstances. It’s the kind of thing no one really prepares for in life. It threw me off, and I had to prioritize looking after the kids and creating stability at home,” Bellamy shared.
The musician also said that his emotions at the time helped him in the creative process of Muse’s new album, ‘The Wow! Signal.’ “It was just, ‘Boom.’ It would just pour out of me,” he noted, adding, “It might have been the easiest album for me to make because it was such a catharsis. It became a lifeline for me.”
Matt Bellamy is still ‘close’ to ex-wife Kate Hudson
Before Evans, Bellamy was in a relationship with Kate Hudson. The pair dated from 2010 to 2014 before calling off their engagement. They also share a 15-year-old son, Bingham Hawn Bellamy.

Despite their separation, the exes maintained a cordial co-parenting relationship. Speaking about her bond with the musician, Hudson told the ‘How to Fail’ podcast last year, “We’re so close,” adding, “We weren’t right for each other, and we tried really, really, really hard and instead of blaming or creating the argument or creating the problem.”
“It was just like, ‘I don’t want to keep going down this path.’ It’s very easy for me because I’m an Aries and I like new things and I have the means to take care of my kids by myself, but I want to find the right person, the right fit, and sometimes you’re just not,” she explained.
