WASHINGTON, DC: Representative Nancy Mace (R-SC) said on Fox Business on Friday, July 26, that former president Donald Trump 'literally took a bullet for our country' while describing FBI director Christopher Wray as 'an attempted assassination denier.'

Notably, she also accused Wray of having a 'Trump derangement syndrome' instead of holding with the substance of what Wray testified under oath.

Nancy Mace says Donald Trump took 'bullet for our country'

Nancy Mace said, "What is his (Wray) aim? I guess he's got Trump derangement syndrome. He is trying to discredit Donald Trump in his attempted assassination to the full extent that he can is disgusting. We all want answers and this guy is trying to deflect."

She added, "He is trying to dodge any questions that we have. I hope he will be more compelled to be honest with the American people. This is ridiculous. Everybody knows 8 shots were fired, 1 mane died, 2 people injured and Donald Trump literally took a bullet for our country."

She also said that Christopher Wray is an 'attempted assassination denier.'

Notably, as per ABC News, the FBI said in its statement on Friday, "What struck former President Trump in the ear was a bullet, whether whole or fragmented into smaller pieces, fired from the deceased subject’s rifle."

Moreover, Wray answered a query from House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan on whether the FBI has accounted for all bullets fired by the shooter. Wray said, "I think with respect to former President Trump, there's some question about whether or not it's a bullet or shrapnel that hit his ear."

He added, "It's conceivable, although as I sit here right now I don't know whether that bullet, in addition to causing the grazing could have also landed somewhere else."

Internet shreds Nancy Mace

Internet users chimed in and shredded Nancy Mace as she said that Donald Trump took a 'bullet for our country' during an interview on Fox Business.

A person commented, "Every speaker for Trump is auditioning. But when he loses, they all will lose," while one added, "He also didn’t take it 'for our country' even if he 'took it.'"

A user added, "Regardless of what happened, that’s not at all what 'took a bullet' means," whereas one said, "The lady doth protest too much and whatnot."

A person also wrote, "The more she talks, the more it seems like a lie. This whole cult thinks if they say it loud enough and often enough, it becomes truth. We just want the details from an actual Dr."

A user also said, "He was barely nicked by the bullet, he did not 'take' a bullet."

Another added, "I find Nancy Mace even more disgusting than Stefanik, and that’s saying something. They could just settle for their message being “Trump was shot at for his country.” But no."
