WASHINGTON, DC: Former speaker Nancy Pelosi said Democrats have learned to set aside the “insanity” of former president Donald Trump.

Pelosi also called him a "projector and imposter," suggesting he projected his own flaws whenever he called someone "crooked, crazy or worst president."

Nancy Pelosi says Democrats don't 'agonize but organize'

Joe Biden, 81, who was under pressure from Democrats after a disastrous debate against Donald Trump, dropped out of the presidential race last month and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as his successor.

Pelosi's criticism came after Trump suggested that Joe Biden might demand the Democratic nomination at the upcoming convention.

“It isn’t on the level,” Pelosi said on MSNBC, discussing her new book 'The Art of Power.'

“It’s a wonder they, as I said in the book, don’t have an intervention, because that’s not on the level. It’s pathetic,” Pelosi said.

“But again, we don’t agonize, we organize,” she added, brushing off the comments. “This is so sad. It is so pathetically sad. But again, we can’t dwell on him,” she continued, reports The Hill

“He’s well known for his, in my view, insanity. We have to go forward with our best, addressing the kitchen table issues of the American people as Joe Biden did," she further said.

Nancy  Pelosi says Donald Trump's accusations are projections of his own shortcomings

Nancy Pelosi claimed that many of Donald Trump’s accusations are merely projections of his own shortcomings.

“I say he’s a projector. He’s saying, Joe Biden is the worst president? He knows he was. He’s saying we’re crazy? He knows he is,” she said.

“He says somebody’s crooked. He knows he is. So he’s a projector, an impostor. And we just have to win,” she added.

The former speaker was widely seen as an instrumental player in pushing Biden out of the race. Pelosi has, however, denied the claims that she pushed Biden out.

"No, I wasn’t the leader of any pressure [campaign]," Pelosi told CBS on Sunday, August 4.

"Let me say things that I didn’t do: I didn’t call one person. I did not call one person. I could always say to him, ‘I never called anybody.’ He knows that I love him very much," she said.

Internet reacts to Nancy Pelosi's comments about 'anti-Donald Trump hysteria'

Some Internet users criticized Nancy Pelosi's anti-Donald Trump hysteria while some said the former president was better as compared to her.

"So then all this anti-Trump hysteria is just an act. DemoKKKrats—Are y’all listening to this?" wrote one user on X.

Another user commented, "Pelosi is espousing very dangerous rhetoric."

"Pelosi is so ‘not worried’ she conspired with Democrat elites to mutiny against Joe Biden, and toss him off the Democratic ticket," wrote another.

"Says the woman who thought Biden belongs on Mt Rushmore Hahahahahaha," mocked one.

"Hilarious! Pelosi is calling someone else crazy!" "I can't wait to vote for Trump this election. This clown circus has done enough damage over the past 4 years," another user wrote.

"By the way if President Trump is or was all the awful things you label him, yet he didn’t crucify you in front of the American people, this shows that he is a better person than you!" wrote another user.
