WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Friday, June 14, to share a Fox News article that described a House GOP's effort to rename the coastal waterways around the country in the former president's name.

In theory, everyone utilizing the beach or any other coastal waterways would be swimming, boating, surfing, fishing, and so on in the newly designated Trump zone, as per MeidasTouch News.

GOP Rep Greg Steube seeks to rename coastal waters after Donald Trump to honor his 'commendable actions for oceans'

The bill, proposed by Rep Greg Steube, who represents Florida's 17th Congressional District, seeks to rename the immediate waters surrounding the US, called the US Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), to the "Donald John Trump Exclusive Economic Zone of the United States."

Notably, there are more than four million square miles of water around the US and its territories. All official records, including websites, maps, and papers, would need to be replaced with Trump's name if the measure is implemented.

Rep Steube said, "During his time in office, President Trump took several commendable actions for our oceans as part of his work to make America strong, secure, and economically prosperous. I’m honored to introduce legislation that will rename our coastal waters after President Trump and serve as a reminder of his many contributions to our nation for generations to come," according to Fox News

Though it is doubtful that the Senate, which is controlled by Democrats, would take up the measure, it is proof of Trump's continued influence within the Republican Party.

Internet ridicules Donald Trump as he promotes GOP attempt to rename the coastal waterways after him

One wrote, "Narcissist much?" while another added, "We can name it the Insurgen-Sea."

"Felon Harbor, where he can harbor all the budding criminals in Congress, quipped a person, whereas someone else mentioned, "That's the dumbest s**t I've ever heard."

An individual joked, "That would be hilarious to encircle the country by Trump waters.. You all would absolutely make the sea levels rise with all those tears.." "Hahahaha , well whales do have a connection to the ocean , unfortunately for beach ball belly Trump whales are not orange," remarked one more.

"Name it The Trump Triangle and watch those MAGA boat parades try super hard to avoid it," shared another person.

A netizen pointed out, "What I don’t understand is the total disregard that he has never won the popular vote. That means that the majority of Americans cannot stand this man… yet they continue to keep putting him on this invisible pedestal. I just don’t get it.. it’s so frustrating!!!"
