LOS ANGELES: Natalie Portman is stepping into a new chapter of her life - one that she describes with nothing but gratitude.

The Oscar-winning actress revealed that she is expecting her third child, her first with partner Tanguy Destable, sharing the news in a heartfelt moment.

Natalie Portman shares her joy as she prepares for baby No. 3

“Tanguy and I are very excited,” Portman shared, adding, “I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle.”

It’s a simple statement, but it says a lot about where she is right now.

This will be her third child, but the first she will welcome with Destable, marking a fresh start for the actress both personally and emotionally.

Their relationship was confirmed in March 2025, nearly a year after she finalized her divorce from Benjamin Millepied.

For someone who has spent years balancing a high-profile career with a deeply personal home life, this next step feels like a quiet but powerful reset.

Her kids remain at the center of everything she does

Even with a new baby on the way, one thing hasn’t changed: her focus on her children.

Portman is already a mom to son Aleph, 14, and daughter Amalia, 9, and she has always been intentional about keeping them away from the spotlight.

Still, they play a huge role in shaping her decisions.

“I feel like it's the phase of my career where I'm really trying to just impress my kids,” she once said while speaking about taking on roles like Mighty ‘Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder’.

Her children are not just observers of her work - they’re part of the reason she continues to evolve.

In fact, Portman often lights up when talking about them.

“My kids are always a source of excitement, because you just see them develop into the individuals they are,” she shared in another conversation.

A proud mom who celebrates her kids in her own way

While she keeps them out of public view, Portman doesn’t shy away from expressing pride in what her kids are doing.

Earlier this year, she spoke about her son Aleph launching his own clothing line, Vanté - a moment she clearly cherished.

“My son, my 14-year-old, started a clothing line called Vanté. I'm very proud of him,” she said, adding that he did it all on his own.

She even supported him in her own subtle way, wearing one of his designs during a public appearance. “I just kind of felt like a banner for him. It was very exciting,” she shared.

Why Natalie Portman continues to guard her family life

Despite being one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood, Portman has drawn a clear line when it comes to her children.

“I’m not a particularly private person in real life—I’ll tell you anything—but in public, it was so clear early on that if you tell people how private you are, your privacy gets respected a lot more,” she explained.

That boundary has allowed her to build a life where her kids can grow up without constant public attention.

“I set up a little bit of a barrier to be like, ‘I’m not going to do photo shoots with my kids,’” she added.
