WASHINGTON, DC: Newly released surveillance footage shows Tyler Robinson, the suspect in the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk, walking near Utah Valley University just hours before the deadly incident on Wednesday, September 10.

The video adds to a growing body of evidence and speculation surrounding the high-profile killing, including theories that the shooter may have fired from a rooftop. As the investigation intensifies and more details emerge, authorities arrested Robinson late Thursday night, September 11. He is currently being held without bail.

A newly surfaced 41-second surveillance clip shows Tyler Robinson walking near Utah Valley University just hours before the attack. The footage captures a slender, youthful man casually strolling through a residential area in Orem, Utah, just outside UVU’s campus. He is seen wearing a maroon shirt, black cap, light-colored shorts, and sneakers , an outfit strikingly similar to the one authorities said Robinson wore on the morning of the shooting.

This is the first time Robinson has been seen in that outfit on the day of the incident, as previous FBI-released images only showed him dressed in all-black, the clothing he allegedly wore during the attack.

Authorities say Robinson arrived at the campus in a grey Dodge Challenger at approximately 8:30 am, while the new footage was recorded at 8:07 AM, roughly four hours before the fatal shooting occurred.

Earlier video footage, obtained separately, showed a man matching Robinson’s description walking toward campus in full black clothing shortly before noon on Wednesday, September 10, minutes before the FBI says he entered UVU to carry out the shooting.

In both clips, he appears to walk the same route, suggesting he may have scoped out the scene earlier that morning.

Charlie Kirk was shot once at 12:23 PM local time. The shooter fled the scene immediately after. Following a widespread manhunt, law enforcement arrested Robinson late Thursday night. He is currently being held on preliminary charges of aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm, and obstruction of justice. Formal charges have not yet been filed.

Has Tyler Robinson lived with a transgender partner?

Tyler Robinson reportedly lived with a transgender partner who was in the process of transitioning from male to female.

Although the partner’s name has not been officially confirmed, a New York Post report identified the individual as Lance Twiggs, who is cooperating fully with investigators.

Fox News correspondent Brooke Singman revealed that the partner “is fully cooperating with the FBI,” and noted that “FBI had texts and other communications between Robinson and the individual that helped FBI authorities solidify that Robinson was indeed the shooter.”

Public records show that 22-year-old Lance Twiggs shared a residence with Robinson. A relative of Twiggs, speaking anonymously, confirmed to The Post, “Yes, they were roommates,” and described Twiggs as the “black sheep” of their family in St George, Utah.
