Nikki Glaser calls Leonardo DiCaprio a ‘legit, kind, cool dude’ after receiving three pasta baskets

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Nikki Glaser is seeing Leonardo DiCaprio in a completely different light after the actor surprised her with three baskets of pasta following her jokes about him at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards.

The comedian made headlines earlier this year for roasting DiCaprio while hosting the awards show and even delivered some of the jokes directly in front of the 'Titanic' star himself.

While attending the 'Netflix Is a Joke: Night of Too Many Stars' festival on Wednesday, May 6, Glaser revealed that the unexpected gesture changed her opinion of the Oscar-winning actor. She shared that not only does DiCaprio clearly love pasta, but he also turned out to be a "legit, kind, cool dude."

The comedian shared that the thoughtful surprise gave her a better understanding of DiCaprio's personality.

"I felt like in receiving that gift from him, I learned more about him than I have because he doesn't do interviews," she told PEOPLE.

Glaser also praised the actor for being "Funny, cool, and kind, and just exactly what you want (him) to be."

The comedian admitted that the gesture completely caught her off guard, especially after joking about the Oscar winner in front of a massive audience at the Golden Globes.

"It was so entirely unexpected and honestly," Glaser continued, "I was just bowled over by how kind it was because he took a couple of jokes that night that I'm sure, no one loves to have jokes directed at them, so it's probably really kind of like, 'Oh God, this again.'"

"I got sent a picture of it because I wasn't there when it arrived, and I was like, 'What is this?' And they were like, 'It's from Leonardo DiCaprio,' and I was like, 'There's no way.' And then I zoomed in more, and I was kind of confused," she recalled.

Glaser added that the exchange still feels surreal because she never expected to have any kind of personal interaction with the Hollywood actor.

During her April appearance on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon', Glaser revealed that DiCaprio was the only celebrity who responded to her Golden Globes jokes after she sent flowers to the stars she roasted during the ceremony,

Before hosting the awards show, Glaser said she watched old interviews of DiCaprio to prepare material for her monologue. One of the few things she discovered was the actor's love for pasta, which eventually became part of her Golden Globes jokes.

After the ceremony, DiCaprio surprised the comedian by sending her three baskets of pasta as a playful response to the roast.

Glaser said she was genuinely shocked by the thoughtful gift and could hardly believe she had received something from the actor.

"It kind of trips me up, just having any kind of correspondence with Leonardo DiCaprio," Glaser told PEOPLE.
