'No sound, no exhaust’: Pentagon UFO files detail agents’ encounter with triangular object

WASHINGTON,DC: A newly released collection of Pentagon UFO records describes a June encounter in which federal agents reported seeing a dark, triangular object rise vertically above a ridgeline before accelerating away at a speed they compared to that of a military fighter jet.

The witnesses reported that the object produced no audible sound or visible exhaust, according to documents released by the US Department of War on Friday, October 23.

Agents describe bizarre aerial encounter

The incident unfolded near a national security installation in the western United States, where federal agents reported observing an unusual object in the sky.

The sighting began when an agent at a separate observation post alerted the group to an object flying nearby.

The witnesses repositioned themselves and eventually spotted the object above a ridgeline several miles away, against the fading light after sunset.

When they later documented the encounter for the FBI, the agents described a dark, three-sided aircraft with proportions unlike those of a conventional aircraft.

They estimated its wingspan at roughly 9 to 15 feet, its depth at 6 to 9 feet and its thickness at just 1 to 2 feet.

Its surface appeared matte black, with no visible insignia or identifiable features. One witness compared its design to a drone with a delta wing.

The account submitted to the FBI was accompanied by a separate memorandum from the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), which detailed the reported flight pattern.

The witnesses said the object climbed vertically by several hundred feet while maintaining a stable orientation.

Despite the movement, it appeared to remain level and stable. They reported hearing no sound as it rose.

Using an infrared scope, the agents also observed that the object appeared warmer than its surroundings. However, they reported seeing no exhaust gases coming from it.

The craft’s next movements were harder for the witnesses to explain. They said it came to an abrupt stop and remained motionless for about 20 seconds before darting away. It disappeared from sight within seconds.

A follow-up search the next morning yielded no physical evidence of a crash.

Investigators searched a nearby canyon drainage but reportedly found no fragments, ground marks or vegetation damage that might indicate an impact.

Pentagon releases further UFO records

The Pentagon’s UFO archives contain accounts stretching back decades, documenting unexplained sightings reported near military installations and during overseas operations.

Among the records released earlier this year is a 116-page dossier detailing 209 sightings reported near New Mexico’s Sandia military facility between 1948 and 1950.

The accounts describe a range of objects, including luminous green spheres, disc-shaped craft and fireballs.

Together, the reports document the variety of unusual aerial observations recorded near the sensitive site during the early years of the Cold War.

The more recent disclosures include records and footage associated with US military operations in the Middle East.

A recording reportedly captured in 2021 has been discussed under the title “Syrian UAP instant acceleration,” drawing attention to reports of the object’s movement.

Another video, dated 2020, reportedly shows a spherical object travelling above a populated area before rising into the sky.

Despite the descriptions and recordings, neither incident has produced a definitive identification.

What the objects were, where they came from and whether they demonstrated any unusual capabilities remain unanswered questions.
