AMAGANSETT, NEW YORK: Alec Baldwin has received a lot of hate online for doing a video in which he’s trying to sell his luxurious estate in Amagansett, New York.

The actor first listed the property for $29 million in September 2022. However, now he is selling it for $19 million after purchasing it for $1.75 million in the mid-1990s, Daily Mail reported.

The video in which Baldwin appeared was posted on YouTube by Saunders & Associates, a real estate company.

The 10-acre Hamptons estate reportedly comes with seven bedrooms and nine baths.

In the social media video, ‘The Hunt for Red October’ star reportedly began, “Hey, I'm Alec Baldwin, I've had a home out here on the East End of Long Island since 1982.”

“When I was younger, we'd come out here and we'd sleep all morning and lay on the beach all day,” he said before stating, “When you're young this place is the best.”

Baldwin then mentioned his first rented house on Bluff Road in Amagansett before he shared about his own cottage, which he bought around the corner from Atlantic Avenue Beach.

‘It's Complicated’ actor then shifted toward the mansion, which he’s put for sale.

He said, “I put this addition on the Eastern side of the property in 1996 and my wife Hilaria built this addition on the Western side of the property in 2014.”

Alec Baldwin expresses his love for his house on sale

Baldwin further noted, “I fell in love with this place the moment I came here because it's the main family home of the former Potter Farm. The Potter family.

“You just can't this out here anymore. You can't buy big pieces of land, especially in Amagansett.”

“I've always loved it here and we've got all this open land here. I'm always happiest when I come here, especially this time of year. I love it in the wintertime because it's so peaceful and it's so beautiful,” he added.

‘Does pitch video scream desperation?’

However, people online did not treat Baldwin with kindness, especially because of the 2021 ‘Rust’ set tragedy that took away the life of cinematographer Halyna Hutchin.

An X (formerly Twitter) user tweeted, “Nobody should give Alec a dime after what he did to that woman. Anyone who supports or employs Alec is endorsing what he did to that woman. I will never support that man.”

The third user said, “Baldwin's acting or realty career, tougher call. Does pitch video scream desperation?”

The fourth one remarked, “Wow nice home! Thought he was going to jail.”

The fifth one added, “he is getting ready to move to China! can't wait.”
