NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Alec Baldwin found himself in hot water this week after a video surfaced showing the actor getting into a heated shouting match with pro-Palestine demonstrators in New York City, as reported by New York Post.

The incident occurred on Monday evening, December 18, near Penn Station, where hundreds of protesters had gathered to voice opposition to Israel's military actions in Gaza against Hamas.

As Baldwin was passing by the demonstration, he was quickly spotted by the impassioned crowd.

What transpired next was captured in a video that has since gone viral online. Protesters swarmed Baldwin, angrily accusing him of supporting Israel's bombing of Gaza. "Shut your f***ing mouth, you have no f***ing shame!" one man can be heard yelling at the actor.

Rather than walking away, Baldwin begins shouting back, claiming that he supports "peace for Gaza" while dismissing the hostile questions being hurled at him. "You ask stupid questions. Ask me a smart question and I'll answer your question," he snaps.

The ugly spat only escalated from there, with protesters telling Baldwin that his career is "tanking" before NYPD officers finally stepped in to escort the actor safely through the frenzied crowd.

Alec Baldwin was en route to acting class when he was 'aggressively' approached by protesters

A source close to Baldwin clarified to The Messenger that the Emmy Award-winner was "aggressively" approached while en route to volunteer for an acting class. The source emphasized that Baldwin had no intentions of joining the protest and was not involved in any capacity.

NYPD intervention was required to ensure Baldwin's safe passage to the class, aiming to prevent further confrontation.

The altercation occurred in the midst of chaos as demonstrators infiltrated Moynihan Train Hall at Penn Station. Initially impeded by barricades set up by law enforcement around the station entrances, protesters, undeterred, made determined efforts to gain entry.

This disruption inconvenienced regular commuters, who were temporarily prevented from entering certain station points.

Outside Moynihan, protesters carrying Palestinian flags chanted demands for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Despite the disruption caused within the train hall, demonstrators eventually regrouped outside, where at least one individual was arrested at a nearby street corner.
