WASHINGTON, DC: A startling moment inside the Oval Office during a White House press conference on Thursday has gone viral after a Novo Nordisk executive collapsed mid-event, creating chaos and sparking online speculation about Health and Human Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr’s reaction.

The event, hosted by President Donald Trump, was meant to highlight a new deal between the government and pharmaceutical companies Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk to lower obesity drug costs for millions of Americans. What began as a major policy announcement quickly turned into a dramatic scene that drew attention from reporters and social media users alike.

Gordon Findlay collapses during Trump briefing

Video shows Gordon Findlay, Novo Nordisk Global Brand Director, losing his balance and collapsing beside the Resolute Desk while President Trump spoke. Dr. Mehmet Oz, Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, immediately rushed to assist Findlay, helping him avoid serious injury.

The White House press corps was quickly escorted out as medical personnel from the White House Medical Unit arrived. The briefing paused for several minutes while aides stabilized Findlay.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed the incident, saying, “During the Most Favored Nations Oval Office Announcement, a representative with one of the companies fainted. The White House Medical Unit quickly jumped into action, and the gentleman is okay.” Leavitt added that Findlay was evaluated and cleared before being escorted out.

RFK Jr’s actions draw online debate

Soon after the clip went viral, some social media users began claiming that Robert F. Kennedy Jr, who stood near the back of the room, appeared to walk out of the frame immediately after the collapse. This led to speculation that he had run away during the incident, leaving others to help.

In response to the buzz, White House Press Secretary Kush Desai clarified that Kennedy did not actually leave the room. "The Secretary rushed to get medical assistance while others tended to the man, you ghoul," Desai posted on X.

Supporters also defended the Health Secretary, saying his movement was likely part of the standard security and safety protocol followed when an individual collapses near the president.

One user on X wrote,"Apparently getting out of the way so that medical can attend to someone is "fleeing the scene."

Another said,"Or maybe he is going to get help, or call a doctor, or get a defibrillator. If he had rushed towards Gordon Findlay, you would have accused RFK Jr. of getting in the way of the professional medics, or grandstanding."

Another added,"I'm not so much a RFK Jr. fan here but he can be heard saying he was getting a chair. The only evil here is........"

One commented,"You can hear him say something about a chair. AKA trying to help. I understand posts like this are meant to create engagement but its not healthy."

Donald Trump resumes briefing after chaos

Once Findlay was stabilized, President Trump resumed the press conference, thanking medical staff for their quick response. “We’re glad he’s doing fine,” Trump reportedly said before continuing the discussion on lowering prescription drug costs.
