PARIS, FRANCE: Kim Kardashian has been awarded a symbolic €1 (approximately $1.15) by a Paris court in connection with her 2016 robbery case.

The reality star lost over $6 million worth of jewelry, including her $4 million engagement ring, a decade ago after being held at gunpoint in the French capital city.

Kim Kardashian did not seek heavy compensation in Paris robbery case

The symbolic compensation was reportedly awarded in line with Kardashian's request.

She wanted to move on after eight people were found guilty in the armed robbery case in 2025.

The same compensation amount was also awarded to the 45-year-old’s longtime friend Simone Harouche, who was also staying at the same hotel where Kim was robbed in the early morning hours of October 3, 2016.

Kim Kardashian calls incident 'deeply traumatic'

In a joint statement, Kardashian and Harouche said, “The experience was deeply traumatic, and its impact has stayed with us. Today’s decision is not about compensation, but about accountability and recognition.”

“We are thankful to the Court and everyone who supported us throughout this process, and we hope to now move forward and continue to heal,” the duo added as per The Associated Press.

Kim Kardashian believed robbers 'were going to shoot me'

Both Kardashian and her fashion designer friend testified during last year’s trial.

Kardashian had reportedly said, “I was still in such shock, because honestly a lot of attacks were going on in the world and me and my friends were talking about what was going on in the world. I didn't get what was happening and I didn't get it was about my jewelry, even though they specifically asked for my ring.”

“I was sure that's when they were going to shoot me. So I said a prayer for my family and my mom and my sister and best friend,” she added at the time.

According to Harouche’s testimony, she heard Kardashian's plea to the robbers. “It was t*rror. What I heard specifically was, ‘I have babies and I need to live. Take everything, I need to live,’” she recalled.

Kardashian had been open about the incident before as well.

Kim Kardashian said robbery 'changed my whole life'

In 2019, during an episode of ‘Felony Files’, she recalled, “It was the scariest thing I’ve ever been through in my entire life. Just thinking that, you know, you’re about to die…You’re bracing yourself for the moment they’re going to shoot you and kill you. That 10 minutes really changed my whole life.”

Meanwhile, other people who have received compensation over the robbery case were a former receptionist at the Hôtel de Pourtales, who got € 109,516 ($126,472), and the hotel itself receiving € 50,000 ($57,741).
