WASHINGTON, DC: The photograph purporting to show Donald Trump's vice presidential pick, JD Vance, in drag during his time at Yale Law School has elicited a spectrum of responses.

While the Trump-Vance campaign has yet to confirm the authenticity of the photo, others have reacted to it without restraint.

One of the more unusual reactions was the claim that the person in the photo, purported to be Vance, bears a resemblance to Ivanka Trump, the daughter of the former president and ex-White House advisor.

Parody X account suggests Donald Trump chose JD Vance for VP because he reminded him of Ivanka Trump

A parody X (formerly Twitter) account named Jack Kimble, claiming to be a GOP House Representative from California, proposed that Donald Trump might have selected the Ohio Senator for his likeness to his eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, who has distanced herself from her father's 2024 campaign due to family obligations, as per Times Now News.

There is no current member of the House of Representatives named Jack Kimble.

The post from the fiction congressman read, "I certainly won't condemn JD Vance for dressing like this, but it does lend some credence to the rumors that Donald Trump chose him for his vice-president nominee because Vance reminded him of his daughter, Ivanka."

On Sunday, August 11, the photograph was posted on X by Matt Bernstein, who claimed it was from Vance's days at Yale Law School. Travis Whitfill, an Assistant Professor Adjunct in Pediatrics at Yale, identified himself as the source of the photograph in the comment section.

"Hi Matt I was the source of the photo (sent through friends to you). This was taken in 2012 (the same time I was at Yale). Photo was taken by a classmate and sent to me. Thanks for sharing," wrote Whitfill.

Surprisingly, there has been no comment from Vance or the Trump-Vance campaign regarding the authenticity of the photograph.

Bernstein later released another photo, purportedly showing JD Vance sporting a blonde wig and a skirt, which also went viral.

This comes amid MAGA Republicans' intense campaign that Democrats are to blame for the "woke mind virus."

The choice of Vance as Trump's VP candidate has elicited criticism from prominent LGBTQ advocacy groups. They contend that the legislation he supports is detrimental to the community.

Both the Human Rights Campaign, the largest LGBTQ rights organization in the nation, and GLAAD, a key LGBTQ media advocacy group, have denounced the Ohio senator for endorsing contentious bills, such as the one prohibiting "X" gender markers on US passports, a measure initiated in April 2022.

Vance has also advocated for a prohibition on gender-affirming care for minors, reflecting a similar bill proposed in the House by Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia.

At the time, he stated, "Doctors should never perform these irreversible, gruesome surgeries on children."

Vance, an outspoken critic of gender-affirming care and trans rights, has slammed his Democratic opponent Tim Walz for supporting these issues.

Internet in splits as parody X account compares Ivanka Trump to JD Vance

The parody X account Jack Kimble's post about Donald Trump choosing JD Vance because of his likeness to Ivanka Trump went viral, with netizens taking the opportunity to poke fun at the GOP ticket.

A user wrote sharing a humorous meme, writing, "Hey. Now, I know why he picked Jaydee!"

Another brought up the much-discussed topic of Vance's alleged use of eyeliner, expressing, "Meanwhile we see why Trump picked Vance. He sees alot of Ivanka in him. Guess he stropped wearing the wigs and women's clothing but forgot to stop wearing eyeliner."

"JD Vance looking like he got rejected from My Chemical Romance for wearing the wrong wig is sending me," joked a person, referring to the rock band.

Replying to Kimble's post, one more wrote, "It’s the eyeliner and the purty mouth."

One simply had a single-word reaction, "Savage."

"The resemblance is uncanny," quipped a person, while a netizen joked, "I would not want to be the guy who reminds him of his daughter, Ivanka."
