WASHINGTON, DC: Internet users are having a field day after a photo and a video of Melania Trump with the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has resurfaced online.

The picture, which has created waves online amid rising tensions and a fierce hockey match between the US and Canada in the 4 Nations Face-Off Championship, is from 2019 when many world leaders came together for the G7 Summit, as reported by the Irish Star.

It shows the first lady giving a kiss to Trudeau on his cheek after he did the same with the former German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

While the former model was greeting the 53-year-old leader, her husband Donald Trump was caught looking downward.

Many people on the internet have commented on the 2019 picture as an X user tweeted, “Melania actually likes Justin Trudeau so Trump is mad and trying to ‘punish’ the entire country…just a theory I heard.  Probably wrong, but he might really be that petty.”

Another user wrote, “Trump is still upset that Melania fancies Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. He’s small and petty like that.”

“I wonder if Trump is pissed at Canada just because there are pictures of Melania looking admiringly at Justin Trudeau?   He is that thin-skinned,” one person said.

An individual posted, “Trump is obsessed with Canada. He's still seething about Melania being enthralled with Justin Trudeau. His petty, vindictive character is extremely unbecoming. He loves playing the bully. Arrogance, ignorance & immaturity .. not good qualities for a leader.”

“Trump is shallow and fragile enough to hate Canada because of the pic of Melania looking loving at Justin Trudeau... I hope Canada puts the screws to the U.S. and help us get rid of him. I'd like permission to be an unofficial Canadian until Trump is removed,” another one added.

A tweet read, “Trump got played like an accordion. Melania was probably rooting for Justin Trudeau.”

People mocked Donald Trump in response to him getting into a tariff war with Justin Trudeau. He reportedly posted on Truth Social, “We pay hundreds of Billions of Dollars to SUBSIDIZE Canada. Why? There is no reason.”

“We don't need anything they have. We have unlimited Energy, should make our own cars, and have more lumber than we can ever use. Without this massive subsidy, Canada ceases to exist as a viable Country. Harsh but true!” the 78-year-old leader added.

The 47th US President even said in his Super Bowl interview that “Canada would be much better off being the 51st state,” as per USA Today.
