MIAMI, FLORIDA: Former President Donald Trump ignited a Christmas storm on his Truth Social account with a series of fiery posts targeting the Biden administration and predicting future election interference.

Allegations of coordinated election interference

The 77-year-old, never one to shy away from controversy, took to the platform on December 25 to declare, "2024 will go down as the year of great and fully coordinated illegal election interference by Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt president in the history of the United States."

He then accused the Department of Justice, FBI, Attorneys General, and District Attorneys across the nation of their involvement in his perceived persecution.

Despite the ominous tone, Trump added a note of optimism to his message, stating, "But despite it all, in the end, there will be a big and glorious victory for those brave and valiant patriots who want to make America great again. Merry Christmas to all!!!"

The assertion aligned with Trump's persistent claims that the 2020 election was "rigged" and "stolen" from him. These claims have not only fueled public controversy but also led to legal challenges, putting the former president in legal trouble.

In a subsequent post on the same Christmas morning, Trump opened up about the challenges of celebrating the holiday amid legal woes, revealing that there are "91 criminal counts pending against him in four separate cases."

Frustrated, he continued, "It's hard to have a truly great Christmas when you have a Crooked and Incompetent President who wants to put his Political Opponent in jail." He added, "We are in the fight of our lives to save our Country from MADNESS & DOOM. MAGA 2024!!!"

Trump has consistently denied any wrongdoing and pleaded not guilty to all charges against him, the New York Post reported.

Meanwhile, contrasting with her husband's confrontational tone, Melania Trump, the former First Lady, delivered a rather simple message on her social media accounts, posting a traditional "Merry Christmas" alongside a graphic wishing happiness for the holiday and the upcoming year.

On Christmas Eve, Trump continued his assault on various issues, including President Biden, Special Counsel Jack Smith, the 2020 election, FISA, immigration, and more.

“They spied on my campaign, lied to Congress, cheated on FISA, rigged a presidential election, allowed millions of people, many from prisons & mental institutions, to invade our country, screwed up in Afghanistan, & Joe Biden’s misfits & thugs, like deranged Jack Smith, are coming after me, at levels of persecution never seen before in our country???” he wrote and added, “It’s called election interference. Merry Christmas!”

Social media reactions

The former president's Christmas Eve rant did not go unnoticed, with social media users expressing a range of opinions.

"Please stop screaming," one posted on X (formerly Twitter).

"So... basically it sucks to be Trump?" another wrote.

"Merry Christmas! Give us all a gift and go away," someone else added.

"Anyone who posts such an irrational, baseless, hateful screed, especially on Christmas, must NEVER, NEVER, NEVER be allowed to hold any position of power or control over others, especially the Leader of the Free World with access to the nuclear codes. PERIOD!" another offered.

However, in a departure from his rhetoric, Trump released a video on Sunday, just before Christmas Day, embracing the spirit of the season. In the video, he stressed the significance of the birth of Jesus Christ and expressed gratitude for the many blessings bestowed upon the nation.

“This holiday, we give thanks for the many blessings God has bestowed upon us. We pray for the safety of our men and women in uniform at home and abroad,” he said, concluding with a hopeful message. “Next year, we will be well on our way to making America safer, stronger, greater, and more prosperous than ever before. God bless you all. May 2024 be the best year of our lives," he said.
