Police called to Kamala Harris’ Malibu home after mystery woman returns
MALIBU, CALIFORNIA: Police were called to Kamala Harris’ $8.15 million Malibu home after an unidentified woman showed up at the property twice, prompting a report about a possible trespasser.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded around 10.30 pm on Friday, September 11, after the woman was dropped off by an Uber and contacted security at the home shared by Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff. She was told she could not stay and left, but later returned to the property.

Kamala Harris’ Malibu home draws late-night police response
The second visit led security to contact police about a possible trespasser. Deputies arrived and took a report at the scene.
The woman was not arrested or cited. Police said she never entered the home itself and voluntarily left after deputies spoke with her.
It remains unclear why the woman came to the property in the first place or why she returned after initially leaving.
The incident was first reported by TMZ on Saturday.
A spokesperson for Harris said neither the former vice president nor Emhoff was home when the incident happened.
Kamala Harris' security team stopped woman before she reached home
Harris' spokesperson Eduardo Negron said security personnel stopped the woman before she reached the house.
“Last night, security personnel stopped an individual who illegally entered Vice President Harris and Second Gentleman Emhoff's property before the individual reached the home,” Negron said, according to reports.
“Vice President Harris and Second Gentleman Emhoff were not present. They are grateful to the security and law enforcement personnel who responded swiftly,” he added.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is also planning to keep a closer watch on the location.
Lt. Jason Duron of the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station said, “We're gonna keep an eye on the location. I'm directing my deputies to keep an eye on it.”
Trump revoked Kamala Harris’ Secret Service protection last year
The incident also comes against the backdrop of Harris’ current security arrangements.
Unlike many former senior US officials, Harris does not have Secret Service protection.
President Donald Trump revoked her protection in August last year.
Most former vice presidents receive six months of protection after leaving office. Former President Joe Biden had extended Harris’ protection for another year through a directive.
Harris purchased the Malibu property in January for $8.15 million.
The four-bedroom, six-bath property sits on three-quarters of an acre and features several luxury amenities, including a heated pool, an in-ground spa, a fire pit, and a gated entrance. The home also offers views of the Pacific.
