Presley Gerber’s ex-girlfriend Charlotte D’Alessio says she’s ‘angry’ after his death
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Presley Gerber’s ex-girlfriend Charlotte D’Alessio shared her thoughts about her late ex-boyfriend following his death at the age of 27.
She shared a couple of never-before-seen snaps on her now-deleted Instagram Stories and paid an emotional tribute to her ex on Monday, September 1.
She didn’t hesitate to write that she was “angry” about his death at such a young age and said that Gerber “deserved more life.” The sudden death of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber’s son left the entire Hollywood industry in shock.
Charlotte D’Alessio pays emotional tribute to Presley Gerber
The 27-year-old died on Sunday, September 20, from a suspected substance overdose.
On Monday, September 21, D’Alessio shared an emotional tribute to her ex. Presley and the Canadian model, 28, dated for two years, beginning in 2018.
Along with a photo of the pair embracing on a dock, D’Alessio wrote on her Instagram Stories, “Shared a pure love with you & for that I thank & honor your life. You deserved more time. You deserved more life. Very angry about this.”
Another post featured a black-and-white photo of the former couple. “Love u Pres. always. Up there, down here. Don’t even doubt that. We all love you so much. I hope you can feel it,” D’Alessio wrote over the image.
The next slide featured a video of Presley running down a path toward a body of water, with a small white dog running beside him. “I will always remember you this way,” D’Alessio captioned the clip.
D’Alessio also shared a handful of other throwback photos of herself and Gerber.
Presley Gerber dies at 27 at rehab facility
Gerber died at the age of 27 at a rehabilitation facility, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner records obtained by PEOPLE.
In a statement shared on Monday, the Santa Monica Police Department revealed that officers discovered Gerber dead when they arrived at the facility.
An autopsy was performed on Monday, but “the cause and manner of death have been deferred, which means additional testing and/or studies were requested in order to make a determination,” the statement continued.
A representative for the family told PEOPLE, “The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”
Gerber’s younger sister and actress Kaia Gerber has also been candid about her brother’s struggles. She opened up to Vogue about his decade-long battle with addiction just one month before his death.
