LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made a sparkling return to the spotlight with a joint appearance in a powerful new anti-violence video aimed at protecting children. The couple, last seen together in August, advocate for more protections for children against digital harm, while also paying tribute to their royal past.

In the video, both Harry and Meghan wear dark blazers adorned with poppy pins, a nod to their commitment to honoring those who have served in the military. Body language expert Judi James notes that Harry’s presence in the video seems to evoke memories of his royal days, adding a touch of nostalgia to their message.

What body language expert has to say about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's video

On analyzing the video of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as they addressed the inaugural Global Ministerial Conference on 'Ending Violence Against Children' in Colombia, body language expert Judi James observed that the couple appeared to have "turned back the clock" to their time as a royal duo.

Speaking to Daily Mail, James explained, “The couple's appearance and body language make it look as though they have turned back the clock to the times when they appeared as a royal couple at the Remembrance service in the UK."

James also described Harry as embodying the role of an "alpha prince," noting that Meghan appeared to be following his lead.

"Harry was very much the alpha prince and Meghan was taking her lead from him as she learned the ropes," she said.

Shifting her focus to Meghan, James pointed out how she seemed to mirror Harry’s actions.

"Meghan looks less assertive here and she appears to be copying and mirroring her husband, taking her cues from him. Although she starts with her hands clasped in front of her body, by the end of the video she has repositioned to copy Harry's pose with her hands clasped behind her back."

James further highlighted Meghan’s gestures toward Harry, noting that she frequently glanced at him while he spoke, offering warm smiles and gestures of encouragement.

"This constant gesture makes her appear like the more openly loving one in the relationship while Harry seems intent on staying in role and projecting formality. Her entire delivery is confident but softer and more loving as she speaks to camera."

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's subtle PDA while delivering powerful message

The expert also reflected on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's strong bond, saying, “There is one point though where he seems to want to redefine their unity as a couple and a professional double-act. Recently we've seen them separate to pursue individual causes or careers but this video seems to stress that the intrinsic relationship bonds are still intact.”

Toward the end of the video, the couple shared a subtle moment of PDA when Harry gently placed his arm around Meghan. James noted, “At the sound of the word 'together' Harry appears to take his cue quickly, extending one arm so his hand is behind his wife's back. This is a subtle PDA from a couple who have previously flirted, touched and even kissed each other on screen."

Concluding her analysis, James remarked on the royal homage that the couple's appearance seemed to evoke: "Harry and Meghan's visual image looks very much like a royal homage to Remembrance Day. Their side-by-side poses straight to the camera look regally formal and official. They wear matching, tailored navy jackets that make a feature of the poppies in their lapels."

James finished with a detailed description of Harry’s stance: “Harry is emphatically in royal military mode, standing unsmiling, with his hands behind his back and rising up onto the balls of his feet and dropping down again as though briefing the troops. His tone is serious, authoritative, concerned and assertive. He barely glances at Meghan and the first time he does his facial expression looks severe although it softens during the second glance.”

Internet isn't impressed by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's video

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's video where they deliver a powerful message on the importance of online safety for children did not receive a warm reception online as plenty of royal family fans and trolls tore down the royal couple in the comments sections.

One royal family supporter said, "Um. Maybe they should focus on restoring family unity and peace with the Markles and RF, before they start lecturing everyone else to do it. And how to raise children? I think they're both in agreement about bad-mouthing their own parenting experience. So their expertise is what exactly? I think they should focus on their own learning curve and reunite with their own families first. Before lecturing."

Another raised the topic of privacy as Harry and Meghan have often talked of fiercely guarding their personal lives, "I don’t understand their game plan at all. If they want privacy, why put themselves in the limelight in such a wooden way, it’s so awkward to see. Even the poppies look like they’re props."

An individual commented, "Turning back the clock will not erase what they have done, what they have said, nor negate the damage and hurt they (she) wanted to inflict on the BRF… what they have done, IMO is beyond unforgivable…."

One reader, while agreeing with the message the couple was trying to send through their video also slammed the two for relationship issues in their own families, "I think all people are opposed to violence against children, online or otherwise. Nothing they can now say will redeem them in my eyes after the way they have treated members of both their families."

Another chided them for trying to behave like they were royals promoting a cause, "Another ‘a cause that is deeply important to them’ it’s really quite weird how they pop up every now and the. He is no longer a working member of the RF but they go on ‘tours’ as if they are?"
