Prince William recently joined the conversation during an appearance on the UK radio show 'Heart Breakfast', where he briefly addressed the couple’s rumored wedding plans. The Prince of Wales joked that he is “hoping” an invitation somehow makes its way to Buckingham Palace.
Although William kept his comments playful and guarded, the moment reflected just how widely the story has traveled. It also highlighted the royal family’s connection to Swift, whose music remains a favorite among Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Speaking on the UK radio show ‘Heart Breakfast’ on Friday, May 22, alongside hosts Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden, Prince William joined the discussion surrounding the much-talked-about summer wedding.
After requesting Taylor Swift’s track ‘Opalite’ for his Swiftie children, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8, Theakston teased him by saying, “We believe there is a big wedding happening this summer,” while Holden followed up with, “Oh yes! Have you got an invite?"
William smiled before replying, “No comment. I’m hoping, and I’m sure there might be an invitation around but we’ll see.”
The playful exchange also tied back to William’s admiration for Swift. Reflecting on attending her Eras Tour in 2024, he described the experience as “amazing” and shared how much his children enjoy her music.
“Charlotte, my daughter, and Louis, to be fair, Charlotte, particularly, is obsessed by Taylor Swift. We went to see her on her Eras Tour and it was amazing,” he said.

During Swift’s Eras Tour stop in London, social media lit up after she met Prince William backstage at Wembley Stadium. The moment became even more memorable because Prince George and Princess Charlotte joined him at the concert, which took place on William’s 42nd birthday.
The group posed for backstage selfies that were later shared on both the official Kensington Royal X account and Swift’s own social media pages. Fans also spotted William dancing to Swift’s hit track ‘Shake It Off’ during the show.
Swift’s London Eras Tour run also became historic, as she extended the tour to a record-breaking eight nights at Wembley Stadium. She performed on June 21, 22, and 23 before returning on August 15, 16, 17, 19, and 20.
