Where will Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce tie the knot?
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce may be planning to say “I do” in Rhode Island, according to a source who spoke to Page Six. While earlier reports suggested the couple isn’t rushing down the aisle, the insider claimed otherwise: “They are getting married next summer in Rhode Island. She is in a hurry to have children."

Even Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee has weighed in, cheering for his state to host the high-profile event. “Rhode Island has some of the best wedding venues in the world, just saying,” McKee commented in a repost of the couple’s engagement announcement on social media last week.
As for the ceremony itself, sources say Swift and Kelce are planning something intimate. “It will be more casual than people think,” one insider shared, adding that the event will be private and limited to close friends and family.
Travel experts at Skyscanner have also speculated on potential wedding destinations for Swift and Kelce, and Rhode Island tops the list, according USA Today. The coastal state holds special meaning for Swift, who famously hosts her annual star-studded Fourth of July parties at her Colonial-style mansion there. The property even earned a lyrical nod in her Folklore track, “The Last Great American Dynasty.'

With its charming coastal views and personal connection to the singer, Rhode Island stands out as an ideal wedding locale. “Beyond personal connection, Rhode Island shines on its own,” said Laura Lindsay, Global Travel Trends Expert at Skyscanner. “Travelers are drawn to its historic lighthouses, Gilded Age mansions in Newport, and over 400 miles of coastline dotted with sandy beaches and rugged cliffs.”
Lindsay also highlighted the state’s rich culture: “Add in offbeat museums, thriving art and culinary scenes in Providence, and seasonal highlights like the WaterFire bonfires, and Rhode Island proves that small states can deliver big experiences."
Taylor Swift’s Rhode Island mansion undergoing renovations
Swift’s sprawling mansion in the Watch Hill neighborhood of Westerly, Rhode Island, is currently undergoing a major renovation estimated at $1.7 million, according to a building permit obtained by The Providence Journal.
The planned upgrades include the addition of a new wing with a 16-by-24-foot bedroom, extra bathrooms, and a refreshed kitchen. Swift originally purchased the oceanfront estate in 2013 for $17.5 million. The property already boasts eight bedrooms, ten bathrooms, and sits on 5.23 acres of land with manicured gardens and a swimming pool.
While it’s not yet known whether Swift and Kelce plan to host their wedding at the mansion or choose another nearby venue, the extensive renovations have sparked speculation that the iconic home could play a role in the couple’s big day.
Where could Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce possibly get married?

Another possibility for the couple’s big day is New York City, a backdrop for many of their public date nights since they were first linked in 2023. The Big Apple holds personal significance for Swift, who owns a townhouse in Tribeca and famously referenced Cornelia Street in one of her songs.
"New York is the city that never sleeps. It offers iconic backdrops like Central Park, the Empire State Building, and the Brooklyn Bridge,” said Lindsay. “Travelers can enjoy world-class dining, Broadway shows, and a thriving arts scene. From luxury hotels to intimate venues tucked inside historic brownstones, the city provides endless possibilities for a wedding, whether grand or understated.”
Big Sky, Montana, is also in the mix. A favorite romantic escape for Swift and Kelce, the pair have been linked to the exclusive, members-only Yellowstone Club, nestled in the scenic mountains.
“Big Sky is surrounded by the Rockies, offering sweeping alpine views, world-class skiing, and endless outdoor adventures—from hiking to waterfalls like Ousel Falls to stargazing in natural hot springs,” Lindsay explained. “Just down the road, Bozeman adds small-town charm with craft breweries, farm-to-table dining, boutique shopping, and access to Yellowstone National Park, making Montana a perfect mix of rustic beauty and refined luxury for an unforgettable wedding destination."
