LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Pro-Palestinian protesters took to the Democratic fundraising event on Saturday night, harassing supporters of President Joe Biden as they entered and exited the party.

The high-profile fundraiser in Los Angeles, held at the Peacock Theatre, featured A-list celebrities including George Clooney and Julia Roberts. According to the Biden campaign, the event raised $28 million even before it began.

X accounts affiliated with the LA protesters posted videos and photos of the gathering outside the fundraiser. The demonstrators held signs referring to President Biden as “Genocide Joe!” and displayed images of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu kissing Biden, symbolizing US support for Israel amidst the ongoing conflict with Hamas.

“We are here today to remind Biden and everyone attending that there is no business as usual,” chanted protesters outside the gala, featuring an appearance by former President Barack Obama. As guests exited the event, protesters began harassing them, shouting, “Shame on you!” and accusing them of supporting genocide in Gaza. In response, Democratic supporters chanted back, “Let’s go Biden!”

The fundraiser offered various exclusive experiences, including front-row seating, a photo-op with Biden and Obama, and an invitation to the fundraising after-party.

In the past months, President Biden has faced vocal criticism from the progressive wing of the Democratic Party regarding US policy on the war in Gaza.

College campuses have become hotspots for protests, with more than 200 encampments popping up across the nation. Members of Biden’s administration have also been confronted; notably, Vice President Kamala Harris had her interview with Jimmy Kimmel interrupted by protesters shouting, “15,000 children dead because of you!”

Internet reacts to Joe Biden fundraisers

A user tweeted, "Communism always eats its own. The best part about it."

Another added, "Fox News and the rest of the Right Wing Noise Machine are feasting on the optics of these demonstrations. Can’t wait to see what happens to their Palestinian cause if Biden is defeated in November."

A third stated, "How many of those that showed up were given free tickets. Who really funded the 30 million???"

A fourth said, "These are the people who vote for the bunk that's going on in America right now!"

"Which side of the anti-#Biden protest line is #AmalClooney on?" questioned a user.

"I think this one will do the trick and change his mind," mocked a user.

"When you dislike both sides of the picket line — what a depressing realization," stated a user.

"Play woke games, win woke prizes. Those actors and celebrities are all getting back what they've pushed," read a tweet.

"The people attending are their supporters," asserted a user.

"Looks like the line to get in is 100% white people," added a user.

"Ooo look the elite are queuing like the plebs. What fun," mocked another.

"I have no sympathy for the elites - they must reap what they sow," claimed a user.
