LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Raven-Symone shared the heartbreaking news of her father Christopher B Pearman's death on Tuesday, October 1, on her Instagram, as per People.

In a poignant post, the actress shared a throwback photo of herself as a child, accompanied by her father and an unnamed woman.

To honor her father, Raven-Symone wrote, "My life has been long and abundant. And the path I’m on started with a dream. Hope he is watching with a smile on his face… #christopherbpearman." 

The announcement prompted a wave of concern among her followers, including one user, who commented seeking clarification about the announcement. "Are you saying your dad passed away???? Him and I are friends on fb and we are very close and I need to know for real???????????" they asked.

Raven responded to the inquiry with a simple, yet heart-wrenching confirmation, "Yes maam."

The 38-year-old is quite guarded about her relationship with her parents, and details about their family dynamics remain largely private. However, Christopher was her manager during the early stages of her career.

In a June 2010 interview with NPR, he mentioned that he had stepped back from managing his daughter's career a few years prior, emphasizing the significance of her being able to "take the reins."

He explained, "She got to a point, you know, she said, 'Daddy, I can run my own company. I can run my own thing' a few years ago. And I'm like, 'You know, you have the tools." 

Christopher's death comes just 11 months after Raven-Symone's younger brother, Blaize Pearman, died at the age of 31 after a battle with colon cancer.
