In a candid interview with Shadow and Act in October 2021, Raven-Symone opened up about how her real-life experiences, particularly those involving her brother Blaize Pearman, influenced a compelling episode of the popular series 'Raven's Home.'

During the episode in question, the character Booker Carter, played by Issac Ryan Brown, finds himself subjected to racial profiling, encountering a police officer who stops him while driving. Raven shared that the storyline mirrored an actual event involving her younger sibling, Blaize.

In recounting the incident, Raven emphasized the challenges her brother faced due to his appearance, stating, "I relate to that. I remember my mom drilling my brother when he first got his license on the things that he had to be careful of. He’s tall, he’s Black. He wears a hoodie and jeans and maybe a jersey or a skully. And it’s like, take your hat off. Put your hands on the wheel. Yes, sir. Yes, ma’am. Respectful. And don’t question anything."
