Earlier, in May this year, the 53-year-old had shared that her father was experiencing a health setback.
At the time, she reportedly wrote, “Been completely off the grid. Dad in cardiac unit at the hospital & it’s day 13 now. We are both medical mysteries. Pray for my dad Guy Glanville.”
Brandi Glanville recalls strained relationship with father
The ‘Real Housewives’ alum had a rocky relationship with her father. Although the two appeared together on ‘Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition’ in 2018, their relationship soured after the show.
In August 2018, Glanville told Entertainment Tonight, “My dad and I, we left the show in a great space and then, when the show aired, we haven’t talked since.”
“You know, he’s not done TV before, and I warned him ahead of time, ‘They’re not going to be able to show everything that we shot. They’re going to show the highlights, so you have to write down notes and understand it’s going to be the highlights of what we shot, and don’t get mad – you’re gonna get mad all over again,’ and ultimately, he did,” she explained.
However, the TV personality added, “I love him dearly. He’s everything. I’m just, I’m leaving [it] in his corner. Because you know me, I get a little aggressive.”
Glanville and her father eventually reconciled, with Guy supporting her during her public feud with fellow ‘Real Housewives’ star Denise Richards. In 2020, Guy said, “My daughter may be many things,” before adding, “but she is not a liar.”
Brandi Glanville reveals multiple health diagnoses and treatment
The latest tragedy comes as Glanville has also been struggling with her own health issues.
In a September Instagram post, she revealed, “I’ve been diagnosed with highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever), Demodex dermatitis and Mononucleosis.”
“I also have a fungal ball in my face that needs to be removed. I have to get the metals from old dental work out of my mouth, my breast implants need to come out, and I’m looking at 4–6 months of daily IV treatment,” Glanville added.
