WASHINGTON, DC: Barron Trump, the youngest son of President Donald Trump with his wife Melania, has been grabbing a lot of attention in recent years, thanks to his father’s enormous popularity.

As the 18-year-old NYU freshman accompanied his father during his inauguration, the youngster summoned his own fandom not only through his total “rock star” reaction to his father’s warm praise but also through his impressive height.

While the teenager -- reportedly towering over his already tall father at 6ft 7 in, has been the talk of political circles because of his reported help in Trump’s election win, he is currently making the rounds of the internet for an entirely different issue altogether.

Barron, who is often seen carrying a simple black backpack during his daily errands, has reportedly sparked curiosity among several fans

Reason behind Barron Trump using $88 backpack

As Barron’s backpack has sparked curiosity among fans online, a content creator by the name of Hot Star Stories on TikTok has reflected on the issue, as reported by The Express

The narrator started the video asking, "Why does Barron Trump always carry an $88 black school bag wherever he goes? As Trump's son, and the future heir, Barron is worth hundreds of millions of dollars, but he always carries an inexpensive black school bag".

"Barron lived a life of luxury from childhood. He was raised by Melania, and had a life of ease and plenty since he was a child,” continued the video.

The narrator went on, "However, no one would believe that under Trump's guidance, Barron is actually very thrifty in private. Since he entered college, he has been carrying an $88 black school bag, which makes Barron look more like an ordinary student".

They further explained that the use of the inexpensive backpack helps the first son to maintain a low profile in his college, easing his path in daily life.

Barron Trump is not 'extravagant', claims TikToker

The narrator further highlighted Barron's lifestyle, saying that despite being born in extravagance, the youngster is completely opposite. Barron has not yet bought any luxury goods, and reportedly donates money to the charity.

Referencing the bag, video continued, “It enables him to keep a low profile, and be more approachable in public, and allows him to participate in various activities more comfortably. In addition, since Trump became President, he is opposed to extravagance and waste and has even donated his own money to charity at times."

They further continued, "In order to follow in Trump's footsteps, Barron has always kept a low profile. Even at the age of 18, he has never bought luxury goods".

The video explained that his thrifty nature also helps in maintaining a positive image for making him the heir in the future.

"To some extent, this can also better shape Barron's positive image, prepare him for being the heir in the future and play a positive role in the overall image of the Trump family,” shared the narrator.
