MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: A parody social media account, named 'Chief Rabbi of Gaza', has tricked another member of the Squad.

The reelection campaign for the staunchly pro-Palestinian Rep Cori Bush (D-Missouri) contemplated a potential fundraiser with 'Rabbi Linda Goldstein'—a fictitious account known for its anti-Israel rhetoric aimed at deceiving progressives.

Parody account proposed fundraising event for Cori Bush

This account, which had previously duped Rep Jamaal Bowman, a colleague of Bush, proposed the fundraising concept to Bush's team on June 23, as disclosed in communications with the New York Post.

“I’ve been bouncing around different cities since my congregation was displaced from Gaza after Israel’s invasion on October 7,” Goldstein sent an email to Ronika Moody, the finance and engagement director for Bush.

“Also – would [Bush] travel to the Gaza border for the fundraiser? The optics could be incredible!” the mail further read.

Moody replied on June 27, stating, “Cori is interested in hosting in Gaza and it’s something she has been trying to plan. Unfortunately, we have not been successful with that opportunity as of yet.”

“Theme is Gaza?” Moody questioned.

Rabbi Goldstein suggested 'the morality' of the intifada as fundraiser theme

Goldstein, known for her claims of using a missile menorah and creating terror tunnels into American universities, proposed "the morality" of the intifada as a possible theme for the fundraiser.

“The topics are built around finding a final solution to the problem of Zionism,” Goldstein commented without having received a response from Bush's campaign team.

“Cori Bush is the perfect example of an 'empty suit’ antisemite.– completely clueless about how the Israel-Palestine conflict works, but eager to speak up because it gives her cover to publicly hate Jews,” said the man behind the parody account, a pro-Israel lawyer named Michael, who declined to provide his last name.

Similar to Bowman, Bush holds a strong pro-Palestine stance, and current polls indicate she may face defeat in the August 6 election against St Louis prosecutor Wesley Bell.

Team Bowman was defeated by Goldstein in April during the unsuccessful primary race against Westchester County Executive George Latimer.

Rabbi Susan Talve, the founding rabbi of the Central Reform Congregation in Bush's St Louis district, stated that the lawmaker should have known better.

“Cori has not done her homework about anything to do with Israel and Palestine and it’s very sad,” the genuine rabbi told The Post.
