WASHINGTON, DC: Newly appointed Argentina President Javier Milei has recently laid off more than 5,000 government workers. A report by Just The News also noted that these cuts have already caused protests in Argentina “but Milei is still pressing forward with them.

Meanwhile, in the United States, if there’s one person who agrees with Milei and believes the same should happen with the American government, it is Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Greene believes that Milei’s move of laying off thousands of government workers “is the way” and also added her own suggestions to go with it, however, the internet was quick to slam her as they remained unimpressed with the Georgian congresswoman.

Marjorie Taylor Greene says ‘we should do the same’

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Marjorie Taylor Greene shared a post originally written by investigative journalist John Solomon.

Solomon wrote, “Argentina's President Milei lays off over 5,000 government workers.”

To which, the Republican congresswoman responded and wrote, “This is the way and we should do the same. Release them to the private sector, there are plenty of jobs.”

According to Politico, Milei said, “The goal is (to) start on the road to rebuilding our country, return freedom and autonomy to individuals, and start to transform the enormous amount of regulations that have blocked, stalled, and stopped economic growth.”

Back in November when Javier Milei was elected President of Argentina, Greene congratulated him on social media, writing, “Congratulations @JMilei!! Argentina God bless you!!”

Marjorie Taylor Greene faces backlash on X

After Marjorie Taylor Greene agreed with Argentinian President Javier Milei's decision to lay off employees, the internet brutally slammed the congresswoman.

One user wrote, "We should start with you," while another wrote, "Great idea! Let’s start with you and the rest of the House."

"You know you're a government worker, right? Dear God, you are so dumb," expressed one user, while another wrote, "Starting with you."

Greene continued to face mockery on the social media platform as one user wrote, "Lead the way. Be the first to get laid off."

Another wrote, "Absolutely, they should start by firing you. What a waste of taxpayers money you are."
