WASHINGTON, DC: In a political landscape rife with dynamic maneuvers and sharp critiques, Robert F Kennedy Jr recently found himself at odds with Vice President Kamala Harris, as reported by The Daily Beast.

After reports surfaced indicating that his request for a potential cabinet position under a Harris administration was declined, Kennedy launched a pointed critique of the Vice President and the Democratic Party’s current stance.

Robert F Kennedy Jr, who is campaigning as an independent presidential candidate, did not hold back in expressing his discontent with Kamala Harris.

In a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, he highlighted his grievances, stating, "VP Harris’ Democratic Party would be unrecognizable to my father and uncle and I cannot reconcile it with my values."

He took the opportunity to delve into Harris' policy decisions, her personal history in public service, and her overall campaign approach.

Despite previously reportedly seeking a meeting to discuss an endorsement in return for a cabinet position, Kennedy emphasized that he had "no plans to endorse Kamala Harris for President," but rather "a plan to defeat her."

This reaction was in response to an article by The Washington Post, which outlined Kennedy’s attempt to negotiate a role in a potential Harris administration.

According to the report, Kennedy proposed supporting her candidacy if offered a significant position, possibly as a cabinet secretary. However, Harris and her aides showed no interest in the proposal, leaving Kennedy’s overture unacknowledged.

Kennedy's critique of the modern Democratic Party extends beyond his personal disagreement with Harris. He contrasted the values of the current party with those of his father and uncle, Robert F Kennedy and John F Kennedy, respectively.

According to Kennedy, "The Democratic Party of RFK and JFK was the party of civil liberties and free speech. VP Harris’ is the party of censorship, lockdowns, and medical coercion."

This comparison set the tone for his subsequent comments, where he accused the party of abandoning its anti-war stance in favor of being "riddled with neocon warmongers."

Furthermore, Kennedy did not shy away from criticizing Harris on a personal level. He accused her of using the legal system to target Black Americans and asserted that she avoids debates and unscripted interviews.

Robert F Kennedy Jr's criticism of Kamala Harris resonates online

Robert F Kennedy Jr’s recent outspoken criticism of Kamala Harris and the Democratic Party resonated with many users across social media.

One X user remarked, "Many of our grandparents were JFK Democrats. JFK Democrats are not the same as modern day Democrats in the same way that Trump Republicans are not the same as run of the mill Republicans." Another said, "It’s a radical leftists party that doesn’t feel the need to win the people over. Makes you wonder what their plan is."

Another wrote, "Kamala Harris will lie to your face just like Joe Biden did." A user stated, "Many moderate Dems, mostly older ones, have no idea what has happened to their party. They are blindly following along not understanding that the party supports far, far left ideas that they definitely do not support."

Another added, "The Democratic Party has been hijacked by not only far left progressives but also antisemites." A comment read, "People in general were much more tolerant and compassionate. If you need proof. Watch the JFK / Nixon Debate. Divided we fall."

Someone else remarked, "Carefully worded, thank you for clearing that up! I knew you were better than that!"

One individual said, "RFK Jr. nailed it—this Democratic Party doesn’t resemble the one that stood for civil liberties, free speech, and the working class. It’s now the party of censorship, Big Tech, and endless wars. If he’s looking for a leader who truly fights for Americans and isn’t afraid to stand up to the establishment, Trump is the clear choice. He’s already shown he can prioritize Main Street over Wall Street and protect our freedoms."
