Chad Lowe reflects on daughter Fiona’s death
Fiona Lowe, the 13-year-old daughter of actor Chad Lowe and producer Kim Painter, died on September 29. “We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona. She was a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance,” her family shared.
“She was adored by her sisters, and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives. Her passing is devastating for our entire family, and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time.”
Chad and his wife also share two daughters, Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10. On Thursday, October 8, more than a week after Fiona’s death, Chad took to his Instagram Stories to share a clip from Olivia Hunt’s 'On Healing' podcast.
“So when we die, where do we go? We return to a state of peace and love. Where were we before we were born?” he said, adding that he believes “there's a spirit that enters the body. It mobilizes. It gives us an intelligence and an awareness.”
Chad also reflected on the pain of losing a child and encouraged people to express their love for those closest to them.
“Every parent believes they're going to outlive their children. But not every parent gets that chance,” he said. “If you have someone you deeply love now, tell them you love them. Leave no conversation unsaid. Leave no wound unhealed.”
