The buzz from his entrance hadn’t even settled when Chris Evans stepped in, instantly turning it into something bigger - a face-off fans didn’t know they needed but couldn’t look away from.
Marvel Studios later captured the energy perfectly on social media, writing: “This guy… Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans face off on the CinemaCon stage.”
With Joe Russo and Anthony Russo steering Avengers: Doomsday and its follow-up Avengers: Secret Wars, it’s clear Marvel is swinging big once again.
And with the film set to release on December 18 alongside ‘Dune: Part III,’ the stage is already set for a massive box office clash.

‘Avengers: Doomsday’ trailer reveal adds to the hype
While their interaction was the highlight, the event also served a bigger purpose - unveiling the first full-length trailer for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’.
The footage opened with Downey Jr’s Doctor Doom, seen in a green hood and metal mask, preparing to invade the multiverse. From there, things only got bigger.
There were glimpses of major crossovers, including Gambit and Shang-Chi in action, and Thor facing off against Doom in a standout moment where Doom catches Mjolnir with his bare hands.

At one point, Mystique transforms into Yelena Belova, setting up a unique Florence Pugh vs. Florence Pugh sequence.
