CHARLESTON, WEST VIRGINIA: Robert F Kennedy Jr remains committed to his "Make America Healthy Again" mission and recently brought it to West Virginia.

The secretary of Health and Human Services, who has been fighting for healthier eating, visited the Mountain State to sign a law banning artificial food dyes and additives in school lunches as well as to promote programs to ensure nutritional choices in school lunches.

However, the 71-year-old's visit to West Virginia on Friday, March 28, remained memorable not only for his crusade against unhealthy lifestyles but also for his blatant fat-shaming remarks directed at the state’s 57-year-old Republican governor, Patrick Morrisey.

On Friday, Robert F Kennedy Jr did not stop by simply ensuring healthier school food, but also publicly called out Governor Patrick Morrisey - albeit jokingly - for his weight, and asked him to lose at least 30 lbs and participate in monthly public weigh-ins, as reported by Whiskey Riff.

"Today marks a powerful step toward a healthier future for our children," said RFK Jr in a speech on Friday, before explaining the reason behind the latest law.

"We are restoring public trust in our health agencies and working to make America healthy again by eliminating harmful food dyes from school lunches and ensuring taxpayer-funded nutrition programs promote wholesome, nourishing choices," he added.

Showing his gratitude to the West Virginia governor, he added, "By signing this law, Governor Morrisey has shown his commitment to giving our children the healthy food they deserve."

However, his words for Morrisey were not all sweetness and light, as he recalled their first meeting in Florida, where he made a cutting remark on the politician’s weight.

"I said to Governor Morrisey the first time I saw him, I said ‘You look like you ate Governor Morrisey,'" quipped RFK Jr during his speech.

He continued, "And there was a lot of talk about getting healthy again, and I’m very happy that he's invited me to be his personal trainer," before noting that he has just come here to fulfill the Republican's wishes.

The fitness enthusiast RFK Jr then went on to outline his plans for making Morrisey lose weight. "And I am going to put him on a really rigorous regimen. And we’re going to put him on a carnivore diet.”

Taking his role as the personal trainer of Governor Patrick Morrisey quite seriously, Robert F Kennedy Jr even ensured public support for him.

Trying to motivate Morrisey, RFK Jr said, "We’re going to make him do – raise your hand if you want Governor Morrisey to do a public weigh-in once a month."

"And then when he’s lost 30 lbs I’m going to come back to the state and do a celebration and a public weigh-in with him," added the secretary of Health and Human Services.

He even referenced the governor's wife, Denise Morrisey, and added in his speech, "You're welcome, Denise."

Seeing the support, a flabbergasted Morrisey, who took it all in stride, said, "That may be a little more than I bargained for."
