WASHINGTON, DC: Looks like the rumor mills are already revving up for 2028.

Speculation suggests former Vice President Kamala Harris might be considering another White House bid, this time with congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as her running mate.

Many conservatives on social media cracked up at the idea of a potential Harris–AOC ticket.

"New leaks indicate Kamala Harris is planning to run for president in 2028 and wants AOC as her VP. What are your thoughts ??" one user posted on X.

"Every drunk needs a bartender...Makes sense..." someone else quipped.

"God yes!!!! Another republican landslide. She’s lost twice. Losers often keep losing. Both IQs combined a solid 10," a comment read.

"My prayers are answered if this ticket runs for president! Please!!" another chimed in.

Despite the online frenzy, the Harris–Ocasio-Cortez ticket remains unconfirmed. No official announcements or evidence support the alleged “leaks.”

Harris herself teased the idea during a recent chat with journalist Kara Swisher. Asked if she’d run in 2028, she said, “Maybe. Maybe not,” drawing laughter from the audience. Harris has already ruled out the California governor’s race in 2026.

Swisher asked what Harris would focus on if she returned to the campaign trail.

“It’s much too early to have that conversation, Kara,” Harris said. “I literally yesterday would not have known that this Department of Justice would have indicted the New York Attorney General, right?”

Harris added the Democratic Party should focus on “the immediate needs of the American people.” She reflected on decisions made while serving with President Joe Biden.

“I actually, in reflection, one of the things I would have done differently — we should have done the families piece of ‘Build Back Better’ before infrastructure and the CHIPS Act,” she said.

Harris looked back on her 2024 showdown with Donald Trump. She said she “couldn’t do enough” in the short sprint before Election Day, wishing voters had seen more of her both “as a person” and professionally.

Harris highlighted her experience as a US senator, California attorney general, and San Francisco district attorney.

“Well, some people have actually said I was the most qualified candidate ever to run for president,” Harris said.
