LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ryan Seacrest was one of the celebrities who got an invite to the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, but he could not attend.
The television host has revealed the reason and also shared that he'd initially sent an affirmative RSVP for the star-studded function at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Ryan Seacrest says work made him cancel his plan to attend Taylor Swift's wedding
During the Monday, July 6, episode of ‘On Air with Ryan Seacrest’, the 51-year-old revealed that he had to miss the opportunity of witnessing the July 3 ceremony because of work.
Seacrest told his radio program’s co-hosts Sisanie Villaclara and Tanya Rad, “I RSVP'd to go, and then Disney hired me to do the Fourth of July 250 special on the third and the fourth, so I had to cancel.”
“It wasn't a waste! I was actually really excited. I was kind of torn,” he added.
Ryan Seacrest felt 'honored' to be invited
Seacrest not just RSVP'd, he even personally told the Grammy winner and the NFL star that he would be present for their big day when he ran into the pair at a restaurant. He, however, later broke his promise.
“Trust me, Tanya. I went through the minutes; I couldn't have done both. The actual wedding was in the afternoon. But I was so honored and thrilled to be invited,” he asserted, before adding, “I had no choice; it's part of my job at Disney to do these things.”
James Taylor wished Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce 'all happiness' after missing their wedding
Just like Seacrest, singer James Taylor also could not see the wedding extravaganza despite being invited because of work commitments.
The 78-year-old and his wife Caroline "Kim" Smedvig reportedly got the invitation to “a wedding at Madison Square Garden tonight." But the couple did not go because Taylor and his All-Star Band were performing at Tanglewood's Koussevitzky Music Shed for Independence Day.

AMC Theatres CEO disclosed wedding venue details
Swift and Kelce’s wedding was reportedly attended by around 1,000 people from the worlds of entertainment and sports.
AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron was one of the guests at the wedding, who revealed in a now-deleted X (formerly Twitter) post that the venue was “draped in peach and white. Large blown-up pictures of Taylor and Travis at each age, year by year, from one year-old to late teenager-hood, were on display.”
“They say there were around one thousand attendees, but surprisingly, it all felt intimate and small. Everything was close,” he added.
