NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Ryan Seacrest has hinted at being receptive to love in the new year following his split from Aubrey Paige. The 'Dick Clark's Rockin' Eve' host revealed that he is excited for whatever may occur at the end of the show.

Seacrest, 50, appeared on 'Good Morning America' on Monday, December 30, to talk about his 20 years as host of 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve' and to reminisce about special moments, including the moment someone proposes in the audience.

Ryan Seacrest maintains that there is 'still time' for him to find love

During his appearance on 'GMA', the TV host noted that there was always a "little bit of chaos" behind the scenes of the show, ranging from erratic weather to poorly scheduled performances to people popping the question.

Speaking about his career, the TV personality continued by saying that he is also open to any proposals that may be made to him. "You never know, but that’s the beauty of the show," Seacrest said, per People.

Meanwhile, journalist Rebecca Jarvis discussed the romantic moments that occur in the show. She said, "And then you have people proposing in Times Square literally, like, ‘Let’s get married'."

Seacrest quipped to say, "Yes, that’s something that’s happened almost every single year." He further added, "Some of it makes TV, some of it doesn’t, but people love that moment to say, ‘Will you be with me for the rest of our lives?’"

The annual New Year's Eve crowd in Times Square is estimated to be one million. Seacrest agreed that there are a few proposals among the hundreds of thousands of people.

ABC correspondent Will Reeve who proposed to his partner, Amanda Dubin, last month, quipped, “I should have done the proposal on New Year’s Eve with Ryan. Amanda would have said no.”

But Seacrest continued, "There’s still time for me." Reeve quickly added, "You’ve got this, Ryan. We won't rush you, though," and gave him a pat on the back.

In response, Seacrest said, "Yeah, please. I’m taking my time. Happy New Year!"

Ryan Seacrest ended his relationship with Aubrey Paige after 3 years of dating

The 'Wheel of Fortune' host and his girlfriend Aubrey Paige split up in April after three years of dating. Ryan Seacrest has previously been linked to Shayna Taylor and Julianne Hough.

At the time, a source close to the couple told PEOPLE, "After three beautiful years together, Ryan and Aubrey have mutually decided to part ways."

"They plan to stay in each other’s lives as good friends and support one another’s endeavors," the source added.

Rather than concentrating on engagements and proposals, Seacrest is busy hosting 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve' for the 20th consecutive year.

There will likely be many surprises at the live event, which will include performances by Carrie Underwood, the Jonas Brothers, Thomas Rhett, Blake Shelton, and Lenny Kravitz, per Us Weekly.

Even after 20 years of managing the gig, Seacrest still gets thrilled when he sees the ball drop in New York City.

Before cohosting the primetime event with Rita Ora, he said on 'GMA,' "I’ll never forget that moment when Dick Clark said I want you to step in and take over and do this show every year. I look forward to it. I get excited every time we’re able to watch that ball drop."

As the temperature drops and a million people assemble in Times Square to welcome the new year, Seacrest agreed that "you never know what’s going to happen."

"In that moment, we’re all together. Our differences don’t matter for about a minute or two at the start of the year. That’s something so rare and so significant and so special. It’s magical to watch," Seacrest remarked.
