DURHAM, NEW HAMPSHIRE: In front of hundreds of MAGA supporters at the University of New Hampshire's hockey rink, Donald Trump reportedly tried to take credit for the economy built by President Joe Biden, claiming that the current government is just running as a result of the Trumpet administration.

After the Saturday, December 16 event, the ex-POTUS faced backlash on the internet, with netizens pointing out the fallacy in his statement.

During the rally, Trump said, "The Biden administration is running on the fumes of the great success of the Trumpet administration. They are just running on the fumes of what we did with the tax cuts and the regulation cuts."

He added, "Without us, the states would have crashed a level never seen before, and if we are not elected we will have a depression the likes of which you haven’t seen since the depression of 1929. You're gonna have a lot worse than that."

Internet shows Donald Trump his place

Trump's statements about the Biden administration running on the fumes of the Trumpet administration's success were not taken well by the netizens.

One noted, "Actually, the Trump administration’s good economy came from the Obama/Biden admin. which they built from a failed Bush admin. Then, Trump jacked it up with his handling of Covid and his tax cuts for the wealthy. Now, Biden has had to build it back . No thanks to Trump."

Another pointed out, "He needs to stop being so predictable. Rinse and repeat same talking points then take credit for stuff he didn’t do."

"It doesn't matter. Those people don't understand how much he contradicts himself. He could stand up there and brush his teeth and they would cheer," mentioned someone else.

One more asked, "Does Trump also admit his part in screwing the economy or no?"

"Sad. All things about him are sad and desperate," said a person.
