Sara Haines engages in playful banter with producer Brian Teta on 'The View: Behind the Table'
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'The View' co-host Sara Haines engaged in banter and abruptly put a pause to her conversation with showrunner Brian Teta during the January 4 episode of the podcast 'The View: Behind the Table.'
According to The US Sun, the ABC star is used to calling out the off-camera crew while being both on-camera during the morning talk show as well as during the audio podcast.
Brian Teta's jibe at Sara Haines
Teta and Haines delved into various topics during the podcast episode, including the latter's relationship with her three siblings. Haines expressed that despite the potential complications, family time was personally "rewarding" for her.
The 46-year-old clarified that her siblings typically take almost a month to respond to her lengthy and emotional messages, which she frequently sends, often receiving simple thumbs-up emojis in return.
At that point in the conversation, Haines had paused and held up her thumb in the studio to demonstrate, without vocalizing what she was doing. However, since 'Behind the Table' episodes are only recorded for Apple podcasts, the viewers presumably had no idea what was happening.
Teta was quick to call Haines out for not "understanding the medium" as someone who is used to being on live TV.
"Again, for the audio listeners at home, she's holding her thumb up," he laughed, to which she replied, "You know what? Okay, Brian."

"It's just like, figure out the medium," continued Teta, making Haines say, "I know!"
"I love sibling dynamics," she continued, "If you can be that way with people... if you're passive-aggressive or sarcastic to me that's different if you're..."
There was a second abrupt pause, causing Teta to say, "Now you're looking at me? I'm a little passive-aggressive."
"Sorry, we're in a podcast, I'm staring at Brian to let him know, just to make sure we handle this medium properly," responded Haines. "But I'm doing it so that someone always feels like someone loves them enough...did you just roll your eyes at me?"
"I'm just having fun with the medium," was Teta's answer.
Brian Teta shares his own sibling rivalry
While discussing the topic, the producer talked of his sister's achievement which gave her a leg-up in the contest.
"I'm a little bit like that," he responded to Haines' comment about her sister's "win everything" attitude.
" And my sister has her doctorate, so she's Dr Ali, and that drives me a little nuts, and she knows that, so she won that one," he continued.
"I could picture you insisting that she address you with some formal title like an executive producer," Haines joked, then playfully adopting a tone, "'People in my business say Executive Producer Teta when we talk.'"
Teta brushed off the remark but mentioned that he wanted to get an honorary doctorate to hang in his office.
