Heartfelt throwback shows Nancy Guthrie with her children in happier times

The kidnapping of Savannah Guthrie’s 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, has deeply affected the family, drawn the attention of the FBI, and made headlines across the media. In the midst of the search, Savannah shared a short video showing her mother with her and her siblings during happier times.

For those unfamiliar, Nancy Guthrie has been missing from her Tucson home since February 1. Savannah shared an Instagram post alongside the footage, writing, “Our lovely Mom. We will never give up on her. Thank you for your prayers and hope.” The post did not indicate the year the videos were taken.

The clip shows Nancy Guthrie in a blue dress at her longtime home, where she has lived and raised her children. In the opening clip, it shows Savannah and her sister Annie wearing matching white tops and dark skirts, walking toward their mother to pose for the camera. The video ends with a black and white picture of Savannah and her two siblings and her mother, Nancy.

The video is set to the instrumental introduction of the 2011 song “May You Find A Light” by The Brilliance, whose albums have appeared on Billboard’s Christian charts. The song’s chorus includes the line: “May you find a light to guide you home.”
